MST CMX/Tamiya Volkswagen Amarok
First run in my Sochi Olympics themed VW Amarok. Tamiya Amarok body, Gmade Komodo roof rack, Tamiya Bush Devil roll bar, on an MST CMX chassis with nearly all of MST's hop-ups. Holmes Hobbies 35T brushed motor and esc. 2s lipo battery. I still need to raise the body a bit, it can be heard rubbing against the left rear tire.

Ditched the nitro engine and converted to brushless. Running 4s Lipo, Castle Creations Mamba motor and ESC. Also trying out some new GRP tires on it for the first time. Recorded with my GoPro Hero 4 Session.

Shot with my GoPro, multi angle on car views of my FG Modellsport Sportsline 4wd Audi RS5 DTM on rubber slick tires. Fish tailing and 4 wheel drifting fun. Though the tires did not last very long from all the sliding around. 26cc 2 stroke gasoline engine, with JetPro tuned pipe.

First run with the Jetpro tuned pipe (no silencer) on my FG Sportsline 4wd. The increase in power and torque is definitely noticeable.

1st run of my Inferno GT2 Type-R. This is the only kit version of the Inferno Kyosho offers. Comes with many hop-ups. I chose different wheels, and the Kyosho GT Force rear exit exhaust. The kit doesn't come with an engine, so I went with Kyosho's .25 engine.

First couple of runs with my 1/5th scale FG Modellsport Sportsline 4wd. Engine is a CY 26cc. Body is the Audi RS5 DTM, Jaegermesiter livery. I made some small mods to it; 2 speed transmission, foam bumper kit, aluminum engine mounts, added rear disc brakes to each wheel & upgraded the fronts. Testing out some different suspension/tires. 20mm spacers, I inserted touring car springs inside the Gmade springs to stiffen it up. Also tried out original Bruiser tires, but with foam and the weighted Gear Head RC wheels. The Bruiser tires are awful as seen in the video. Bought a couple of each and it's crazy how good the bruiser is out of the box. 40 year old tech. The tundra needs about 500.00 worth of parts to really be able to run outside.

Sure. It was a 120A esc.
Trying a similar conversation but I seem to be struggling with the pinion and spur gear as mine has a 2 speed transmission.
@@Blitzs14 I can see how that will be a problem. I converted my Kyosho Inferno GT2 to a brushless 2 speed with a kit from Monster RC. Realistically it’s not necessary, you have to set up your radio and esc differently and you lose reverse. Cool to have a 2 speed brushless car but not worth it in my opinion. I’d suggest converting to a single speed.

Where did you find them disc's by the servos.
They’re some Chinese RC car brakes that I found on eBay. Just used some spacers and made a bracket for them to fit on the servo.

Saw you other video on this by any chance you have the parts list you used on the convention? I found my old car in my garage want to mess around with it since can’t do much now with the lock down...
Sorry, I no longer have the list. I did do a build thread on Tamiyaclub.com. Only part really needed is a motor mount. I believe I used a Traxxas mount and then trimmed it to fit. Drilled the chassis for the 4 bolts and everything else was pretty easy.

Krupkania thank you for viewing. This was a few years ago and if I remember correctly it was the original gearing. The Spur gear would break often because of the higher power. The TT01 chassis isn’t the greatest for big power. You may have better luck with the TA03 and the belt driven 4wd.

I remember in Germany when my roommate came back from Afghan he bought a 1/5 scale buggy FG, would get it running put the clips and hit the gas and stale, Yo I used to laugh my ass off, but no worries with me being a mechanic I redid the break end process for because he rushed through and got him plugged, then that shit was loud and fast as hell

Yah man I'm 54 years old saw some videos on the clodbuster so I dusted mine off now I'm gonna modify mine with lights and accessories glad I kept it all these years it sure is fun and brings back memories of the 80s . Great fun times

jorge martinez being a Type R it’s more expensive than the normal GT2. Check eBay or your local hobby shop for the best prices.

Darryl Taylor honestly, I am not sure. There are a lot of parts that are different between the two. Engine mounts and position, as well as the exhaust and intake. I would think the front hubs would be different as well. And there would be a lot of parts that you would need to purchase. Not sure if it would be worth it.
Hey, does your engine get overheated? I noticed you have no holes on your GT2 body like other have. That’s really looks great without holes on it.
Harvz B it actually does have openings, but not that noticeable. The louvers at the rear of the body are cut, as well as the side blades and at the hump on the hood.
