I'm a nature enthusiast drawn to the behavior of animals. My main focus is on birds, however, while birding, you tend to run into some interesting sights. Some clips my depict and animal enjoying free time and doing what appears to be nothing, while others may depict and unusual sight that I came across. I take these clips so that I can go back and study them by watching them repeatedly, studying posture, movement, breathing, reactions, (etc) of the animals I record. My settings are public so that anyone wanting more education can also watch them. I bird mostly in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

The California gull is the state bird of Utah! Did you know?
Hungry baby?
Yes. Breeding season just ended, many juveniles have moved on, but quite a few remained. This one must have been on the later side.
@@charleebreen4916 Did you say ‘yes’ to hungry baby or to Utah’s state bird? Probably both! 🙃
@@lizannewhitlow1085 hungry baby. I’ve never seen a California gull, we don’t get them in my area. I didn’t know it was Utahs state bird. Cool! Thanks for sharing.
What a beauty!
Nice Bird
😍😍
Precious baby 💖🥰💖
I keep thinking about this video, it's so relatable.

Aww, he has a receding hairline now.
He looks good bald. :)
OK
Poor thing
Big stretch
And there is the thing witch I call. Crawlers
Kind of a rounded tail for a Sharpie. don't ya think? I'm going with Coopers.
The first 30 seconds comes off as him boasting about it to any potential mate.
That! Was hilarious! 🤣
Take care of the sparrows or don't bother putting up a nest box for the bluebirds is all I gotta say
The sparrow has moved on. The house currently houses a house wren family. Earlier this year, we had a bluebird family, but the female vanished (I suspect death by predator), so they did not return.
They're So Cute🦊❤️❤️❤️
Hmmm, too bad. I have a few bluebird chicks right now in a bird house. Also, house sparrows coming to the nearby feeder. The bluebird parents seem very vigilant, but you just never know
Bluebirds are no match for House Sparrows. IF the house sparrow begins landing on the house, he's trying to claim it and you'll need to act quickly if you choose to protect the bluebirds. House Sparrows will kill parents and chicks, this is why "invasive" species are so harsh on native populations. Google "Sparrow Guard". Easy to make with a mylar balloon/strips (dollar tree) and a few sticks or a metal coat hanger. Wishing you good luck with your bluebirds. <3
@@charleebreen4916 Thank you for the info. I have what I'm nearly certain are house sparrows feeding at a sunflower seed feeder. Right alongside a mealworm feeder for bluebirds. Their (bluebird) house with chicks/fledglings is about 25 feet away. Both are coexisting well it seems. It's the bluebirds that seem to be the aggressors, especially toward starlings that come to the mealworm feeder. Otherwise, one big happy family. I expect that the bluebird fledglings are about ready to fly.
Did you take any action against the house sparrow?
We removed nesting to prevent him from nesting there, we are also making a sparrow guard to install this year. The bluebirds are currently rebuilding this year and no signs of sparrows, but from what I read, we need to wait til the first egg is laid to install it. Fingers crossed this solves the problem. This year I understand the behavior of sparrows a bit more and if he begins hanging out on top of the box, then I may need to take more aggressive action, but hoping these "sparrow guards" work well.
@@charleebreen4916 Once Your sure the sparrow has claimed a blue bird box install a Van Ert trap in the box while the male is building the nest & trap him. Use a laundry bag & place it over the box to take the sparrow out of the box. I found the blow method the best way to dispose of the sparrow just be sure You have a sparrow first! The blow method is shown on RUclips. I’ve found this to be the only why to deal with sparrows. They will rebuild their nest as fast as You rip it out and will attack the blue birds to get even with You! Sparrows are smart birds!
Somehow the "takes flight" part of the video didn't make it.
Thanks for letting me know. I apparently uploaded the wrong clip. I have just uploaded the proper clip under the name "Cooper's Hawk Takes Flight (second try). I apologize for posting the wrong one, but the right one is up now. Enjoy.
Thats awesome!
Meraviglia ❤️
He's gonna have to grow into those ears
He looks soooo floofy! Would love to pet this little fellow <3
Where was this taken? I've noticed they sound a little different depending on their range.
D'aaaw, poor little guy. He can't even enjoy his sleep in his early Saturday morning
Vuk
He looks pretty cute I’d give at least a 10/13 rating, 5/13 is kinda harsh
Dadordable
how and why do you have the balls to do this?
Curiosity outweighs fear for me. LOL
Video bello volpe bellissima
The kit is certainly hungry. Wish someone would have given some food.
The parents did a GREAT job of supplying food. Successfully raised 10 kits. There are dead rodents and chickens littering the woods near the den. LOTS of food.
