So thankful I found you guys… excellent show and very informative. I also had an elderly fiest that developed canine cognitive disorder at around 15 years of age. Would eat her dinner then sit in her bowl, got stuck in corners, under chairs, and wore herself out walking around in circles. I spent over a year sleeping on the couch with her next to me in a play pen so she could do laps all night and my husband could sleep. She lived to be almost 17, but she also had renal failure which made her diet a challenge. Her appetite was excellent so we endured until subq infusions and episodes of vomiting made her quality of life worse. CBD oil helped her immensely, we tried gabapentin as well however she stumbled around on that stuff, like a drunk. I now have a beagle poodle mix who struggles with itching. We did the blood allergy testing, and she is allergic to grasses, and mulberry. Geese!! We live in the country and walk 5-6 miles a day in the woods. Apoquel works great but weaned her off and again, using Charlotte’s Web canine CBD. Works well so far. Thank you again so much for your great work- I will be tuning in again!! ❤❤

What can I do to stop my dog from eating his own poop?

Hello Dr Randy. I live in Washington State and am both a dog and cat Mom. i have a 3 yr old lab named moose. Gizmo is 3 as well and he is a rat terrier and Rebel my 15yr old husky/heeler mix. I was hoping i could get some advice. Rebel licks his paws and the carpet /the sheet on his bedding. Moose has skin allergies and is on 16mg daily of Apoquel. He gets recurrent ear infections and Gizmo licks his bottom and shakes his ears like moose does. i know without seeing them it will be hard to diagnose but any suggestions would be helpful. Besides the apoquel for moose the vets haven’t been much help for the other two. Also Rebel has a balance issue where he stumbles at time. He did have vestibular seizure about 2 yrs ago. Kimmie our cat seems ok no issues at this time. Thank you Wanda concerned pet owner
