Sing of Mary by Robert Hebble
Mark S. Marty, Organist--Madison Square Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, Texas. Sing of Mary by Robert Hebble (1934-2020) is a beautiful setting of the tune: PLEADING SAVIOR
Robert Hebble wraps the elegant pentatonic melody with harmonic variations that maintain the integrity of the tune until the last go whereas the melody takes a sinuous twist. I hope you also enjoy the visuals created by my son Stefan Marty.

That is absolutely gorgeous, Mark! The graphics are nice, too. I miss you and Laura at Holy Spirit so much, words just can't say. Wishing you and Laura and your family a very Merry Christmas season and a happy New Year!
Beautiful, Mark! Thank you so much for sharing! Stefan's graphics are perfect. I wish you, Laura, and the family a blessed and holy Christmas! Peace.
So joyful!
Very nice!
There's my favorite jazz cat! Play it, Mark!
Lovely harmonization and delightful improv on a favorite hymn! Cheers!
Thanks, mio figlio Mark!!
Beautiful! Merry Christmas! Tricia
Beautiful!!
Beautiful! Thanks!
❤Whoo hoo!
It is beautiful! Thank you!
Yeah, man!!!! Terrific.
Mr. Marty!! Great to see you on here playing great music. Thank you for all the encouragement and difference you made in my life.
Not a fan of the organ, but a fan of the organist!
Great music Mark... oh and the Speed3 was pretty sweet as well.
Organ sounds great, Mark, and so does your performance! Thank you!
Amazing way to say “Happy Birthday.” Thank you for sharing your gift.
I love this arrangement! They play it at my church, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Fort Lauderdale, FL!! ❤✝️⚓
Very lovely, both the setting and the sound and the performance!
Merry Christmas!
Amazing and beautiful
We miss you, Mark. Beautiful playing :-)
Nice, Mark!
That’s awesome Steve. I would imagine he was imaginative, tasteful, and amazingly talented just judging from this piece. Thank you for sharing.
I knew Mr. Iderstine and his wife Kathy in the 1960s and 70s.
This is really good! Please take care Mr. Marty!
Loved the music and seeing lots of old friends!
Awesome, I would love to hear more of this on RUclips
Where did you find the music for this? I can only find music for Marcello's Psalm 19.
A lovely piece, performed with gusto. You can hear the angels dancing.
Thank you. Thank you, Mark for recording this dynamic piece. I particularly enjoyed the graphics behind your skillful playing as there are few folks who have the chance to crawl up into the pipe rooms to view both the majestic pipes as well as the architecture from the old sanctuary walls! You are a consummate Minister of Music my dear friend melding both notes and nuance and bringing spiritual depth to our hearing of these classic tunes. We are SO blessed!
Ditto
The organ is in a magnificent space acoustically and visually. The instrument however does have slow speech issues, therefore not not all notes will sound when played at this tempo. This take has “most” of them there. On a personal note: This was recorded a year after the injury to my right hand and the 2 resulting surgeries. Many thanks for a great doctor and staff, and all the prayers and support. I also recorded this with fond thoughts and memories of Jim Root, a fine tenor, faithful chorister, and friend who recently passed. This was a special piece to him and his family.
Our world is a better place because of those great doctors. Thank you for sharing.
When I heard about your injury, my heart was wrenched. I am so pleased to see (and hear!) that you have made an amazing recovery!
Proud to say this very talented organist is my friend. We at Madison Square Presbyterian Church are fortunate to have Mark as part of our music department.
Well done Mark. Loved it!
I’m happy that you enjoy the piece. Once you have sorted the big chord, double pedaling, and the toccatina, it lays very well under the hands and feet. I know you will love learning it!
Great work!! Thanks for the recording - I really like this piece and had not heard it before. Makes me want to orchestrate it for one of my school groups!
Wonderful shot of the Solo diapasons to open things! Keep it up, Mark, my friend! Long life and robust health to you!
Mark Marty is a great friend a wonderful musician. With all my heart, I wish him the very best in all that he does.
Brilliant!
Thank you very much for adding this video to your youtube page... This selection of Benoit sounds beautiful, and doesn't seem to be all *that* hard to learn to play... am I correct in my assumption? Again, thanks very much...
