Is there is anyway to represent inferior or superior ovary in floral diagram? Pls answer
@@biologicalworld8339 according to the system developed by Louis P. Ronse De Craene, Ovary position is represented by small triangles in the floral Diagram. To represent inferior ovary, small and single triangles are drawn around the Gynoecium (one angle pointing towards the ovary and two sidewards). To represent half inferior ovary, a pair of triangles (one side of both the triangles facing/ placed side by side) are drawn around the gynoecium. If no triangles are drawn around the gynoecium, then that means the ovary is superior. For more information, refer the book : Floral Diagrams, an aid to understanding flower morphology and Evolution
