I’m Alex, and I’m an undergraduate at UNLV. As I major in Spanish, I want to share my educational perspectives on languages because I’m passionate about them and have never quite had the chance to share my ideas on education overall.
I’m fluent in Russian, Hebrew, and English, and I’m learning Spanish and German. I’m almost a polyglot, and I’m here to help. I want to try and explain the concept of learning entertainingly and educationally, along with my critical thinking skills, on how learning languages is easier than people think. Currently, I'm focused on showing the grammar of languages as a basis to start learning, but it will change in the future to different content.

English - Present Verb Conjugation Explained
In this video, I explain present verb conjugation in English. I begin by explaining that conjugation is the modification of a verb’s form that expresses a list of actions while later showing how to identify English verbs; to speak, to run, to think, to look, etc. English verbs keep their infinitive forms in every pronoun, except in He/She/It, adding an “S” (speaks). For special verbs, “ES” (goes, teaches, finishes, passes) or “IES” (studies, catches) is used in He/She/It, while modal verbs are all the same (can, may, might, etc). This is what I enter English to Deepl and got back in Russian for translation: Куда ты идешь? (where you're going) Я собираюсь в университет. (I'm going to the university) my question is: "to university" should be in dative "B университе́ту" according to your lesson, but what I got from Deepl is accusitive "в университет". Is deepL wrong in this translation?
Essentially, there are 2 ways of expressing "I go to the university." Я иду в университет - Accusative. Я иду К (NOT в) университету - Dative. The accusative version means more "I go and attend the university," - accusative, no change. But, the dative is more direct, showing a physical motion toward the university - Я иду к университету. It's not в because the preposition is к in the dative. DeepL Translate is giving the accusative version because it takes the meaning of "I go/attend the university - Я собираюсь в университет." The direct, physical meaning would be in the dative - Я иду К (to the) университету. DeepL isn't wrong; it simply gave a different way of expressing that sentence. Both are acceptable.
