I was born in belchers lane in the late 60s the area is a shit hole now

The UK seems to be overun by motor vehicles

Shame none of the people on this thread realise the background as to why many old industrial towns are now in the state they are in. It's called government policies of deindustrialization and refunding of essential services. IE education, housing, NHS. Essentionslly no investment in the future of the country and yet we are the 6th richest economy in the world.

( Ex Brummie,now live in Bedfordshire..thank God )Back in the late 1960's ...the area started going down hill...police advised it was not safe there after 9pm. Mugging started and some buses would not stop on Alum Rock rd after 10pm. Pubs , clubs and english speaking shops started closing down .

When i move too Sutton coldfiled too my self contained flat i wont have any issues fitting in i won't stand out in the area because im white and most of the people that i have seen look the same as me do i don't have anything too worry about i be just fine

Edgebaston Sheldon fox and goose hodge Hill in my opinion are the best areas in birmingham and probably hall green on a good day
