@@NativeAmericanRonin I have a few things to say and to ask about this. First, you aren’t going to become decrepit at 30. The body starts declining after 40. 30-40 is when you are at your physical peak. Unless there’s an illness which make me ask about your diagnosis. What have you got if I can ask? If not moving on… as far as getting out of shape, if you’re in college you can sign up for all kinds of stuff. Weight training, running, dance, racquetball, tennis, hell I even took golf in college. I don’t know what you mean when you say you’re “calling it done”. Thanks for wishing I recover fast. Due to your post I’m gonna make a follow up video tomorrow at the dojo. But yes I’m quickly getting my move set back. My kicks are getting head height again with the right leg but not the left. I’m not limber as I used to be yet. The biggest issue is my endurance. That hasn’t returned to what it was before. Broken ribs are healed. I’m sparring again as of last week. I hope you return to training. My return has been intense. MMA, Olympic fencing, iaido, kenjutsu, HEMA. Every day I’m at one of those.

@@bathrobebattousai84 My diagnosis is just a neural "disorder"(ADD) that completely prohibits my attention span. So I'm limited in the capacity of what I can do all at once. It's the reason I don't work while in school. I would take more fitness courses if I had the financial(and mental) budget. But alas, my focus is centered towards running down my requirements. No more of which involve physical fitness other than occasional hikes for expeditions. I've had to give all my time away to staring at a computer in a fixed position on a chair. I could stretch if I wanted to, it's just hard to remember to do so because I constantly need to worry about staying caught up. I'm glad to know your recovery appears to be going well. Endurance is a whole other story, though. I wouldn't know what that's like. I have had growth interfere with flexibility, though. It was a severe pain in the ass to deal with. I'll be on the lookout for your next update.

The worst parts of aging so far is I gotta wear glasses now to read and the long recovery time from injuries. Oh and the loss of sleep from having to pee in the middle of the night lol. Midnight toilet trips are Constant material for comedians and it’s so true.

Just last year and this year and only at Texas Renaissance festival in Houston. I have been super busy. It sucks but I need that money.

Thanks brother I am still alive and well and still working too much but that’s about to change. I have one more week of Texas renaissance fair in starting in December I’m changing my schedule to get off at 5 o’clock. Ever since Covid when my hours increased I haven’t been to the dojo And haven’t had time to load cutting videos. I’ve basically just had time to work sleep and spend an hour at night with my fiancé watching the news. Local news not that national crap all politics gloom and doom. Just local news and weather and then go to sleep. 60 hours a week Monday through Friday is tough. I have weekends off and I could have done cutting videos the last couple of years on the weekends but I’ve been so tired and just spend it with my fiancé. I’ll still be working the same amount of hours once my schedule changes but right now I get off at 8 PM so that doesn’t leave much time for anything

I also fell off on watching RUclips. You know as well as I do the last six to eight years politics bled all into every channel. Even sword channels. And I got burned out. So I’ve just focused on watching my nerd fandoms like Star Wars and Batman and lord of the rings

@Bathrobe Battousai fair enough and well said. Politricks are indeed poison. Divide and conquer. Keep us brainwashed. I know you're like me and don't really speak on politics much at all (im gonna change that soon though, and subversively introduce more talk of anarchy, peace, and freedom in my videos), I feel we're pretty much on the same page. It's sad how divided the country has become. That's just what they want, too. Sliding down a slippery slope. Our freedoms are being eroded. I wish i could retreat with my girl to a cabin in the woods and just disappear. Remember the old days when it was taboo to ask a person whom they voted for? @@dragonen1847 I did this video months ago and forgot I put an intro so no need to be sorry. I worked their booth at Texas Renaissance fair and learned a few things. They come sharper that what mine is but not razor sharp. Their swords are fully functional though. I just prefer sharper edges. The edge is beveled and not a flat grind edge. So it’s not really made to cut through tatami. It cuts bottles and fruit better. I haven’t tried on bamboo yet. And there was a customer I sold a sword to that had a collection of saber smith swords. She showed me a picture of hog hunting and she finished off the boar with a hand and a half sword like I have.

Every weekend has a theme. Last weekend when I met Matt the theme was highland fling. So everyone wears kilts. This weekend is Celtic Christmas. It is fun. I’ll probably work it next year. My coworkers were all cool and being around the swords all day is awesome.
