Palette Knife Painting
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.3 года назад
Here is a painting I completed using water soluble oil paints and a palette knife (no brushes). The painting portion took me an hour to complete after the drawing was completed in graphite. Be sure to lighten the graphite with a kneaded eraser prior to painting to avoid pencil outlines showing through your paint. There was no water, thinner, or linseed oil used... just paint, a rag/paper towel,...

The focus of this assignment is to replicate Michelangelo’s David while showing structure. I have sketched this out using an F-pencil on a 16” x 20” canvas pad. In a follow up video to this, I will lighten the sketch with a kneaded eraser before applying water soluble oil paint.

Awesome explanation of color theory!!
Awesome ❤Video. I’m a newbie to this!
Thank you
This is what I’m looking for. Thanks.
Really clear explanation; seeing the colours being matched was helpful too - thanks!
I enjoyed this. Thank you very much. I do hope you have more videos as you are a good teacher and I would like to learn. God bless. Vera in Northern Ireland
So encouraging. I like the systematic demo with room to bake my "color cake". Cool bark magic. Thanks.
wow, this is what i've been looking for. thanks so much
I have been using Inktense for several years now and watched a number of videos. I really like how you break it down with the primary colors and your explanation is excellent. Nice to find this!
Amazing
great lesson, thank you.
Valuable information for a beginner, of using Inktense Pencils AND water coloring. Thank you for your expertise and your clarity in explaining as your ‘show’ the process. I am 74 as I watch this video and write this comment. I have, also, watched many videos on this subject. I appreciate your video. So happy, for me, that it is still being viewed 3 years later when I needed your contribution. I see from existing comments from other viewers that they are happy, too. You have made my day!
Great tutorial, best I’ve found
Your colour mixing is so helpful.
What a great tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you. Very good and detailed explanations and tutorial.
I just started using Derwent Inktense Pencils... SO glad I found your video 😊 You answered so many questions - this is a fantastic tutorial. I've saved you so I can pop by for refreshers when I need them. I'm going to make a chart like you did too. Thank you Kaleeka for creating this fantastic video 👍👍
The best explanation of color mixing I’ve ever saw!! Thank you so much! Priceless. Subsribing right now. ❤

You’re welcome!
A brilliantly explained vlog - thank you 👍
Masterful in your passion, well done............
Nice to meet you, I am a student artist who loves Oil Pastels, Acrylic and Inktense, finally someone talking about these in detail. Thanks for the tutorial
Hello! Great artwork! I started palette knife painting. I love it but I find it very hard!
Such a good instructional video. Showing how to mix was key. I also just started pallet knife. It is so 🤩
It was demonstrated and proven that they are not as permanent when dried as they claim to be. I watched numerous videos it shows that you can still activate the color after they are completely dry. It's not going to be a complete activation, but enough to prove that they are not permanent.
You are a wonderful teacher!🌸🦋🌿🌈💛
Excellent tutorial🎨
Thank you! I felt like I was in class - brilliant!
Oh how nice:) I love art but I have no idea as far as learning how to paint.:) Pat
Hi Kaleeka! I’d like to thank you for this amazing explanation of the Carbothellos; it is exactly what I was looking for and even if English is not my native language you speak so clear that I almost get everything! ;)
Your teaching style is so relaxed. I helped me get over my fear of playing with colors. Thank you so much!
Ohhh la la! So pretty!! 😍
Fantastic teaching! Def not something everyone can do. Great job, and thank you :)
Thank you!
That was really very helpful, I have blocks and pencils and not been able to get good results with them. Now I know where I was going wrong and will try again. Thank you.
❤️
Love your test on intense. Would like to see more! Thx 🌼
Thank you!!
Love all your eyewear!!
It seems like it works like a brushpen, does it? I have a brushpen that I hardly use. How diff is it from a brushpen? Love your tutorial though. Very well explained. I am still a little skeptical if it’s something I would use and benefit fr it. I have watercolor pencils though. Is it worth trying? Thanks.
It’s definitely different from watercolor since it’s more permanent. It’s all preference. I love the intensity these pencils give. You can use a brush pen, which is like a marker…these are different. 😃
@@kaleekabond4964 I bought it. But it’s not as intense as I thought it would be. And yes, it is a little different though. Thank you.
