It's Labor Day weekend and the Lost Grove Paddle Festival was on Saturday. It was amazing and I can't wait to do it all again next year. Anyways Come Monday as the late great Jimmy Buffet sang about. I head over to Moline, Illinois and paddle up the Rock River. I decided to park at the Green Valley Sports Complex and paddle up the river from there. My goal was to paddle up the river and explore the entire Coal Town Slough. While doing so, I encountered something under the water following me. It was making a wake and pushing up mud blooms under the water next to me. I never saw what it was and I paddled through the shallow Slough.
