What Misophonia Means to Me by Garrison Cluff
Просмотров 31День назад
I hope you enjoy this video! I put a lot of work into it! Love you all! My old counselor Billy Jetland challenged me to perform an original song about my Misophonia condition. Lyrics: My life is much different than the average person's. Let me explain. I have Misophonia and there is no cure. It controls my life, and everything I do. Coughing, clearing throats, and allergy sounds are my kryptoni...

Can you talk any slower sorry😊
Banjos aren’t at concert pitch, but most mandolins are, and very few guitars.
You forgot about the organ and harpsichord.
Nice job! You have a nice vibrato!
Thanks!

crazy
Thanks!
Hey just commenting to let you know I learned a lot from this video! I had no prior knowledge about misophonia but am glad you made this informative video! I had a question also, is it mostly auditory stimulants that cause your discomfort or can visual stimulants cause it as well like seeing someone chewing food? Hoping for your best in this life Garrison! Keep teaching.
It's mainly auditory stimulants that get me anxious.
Hi Garrison, thank you for speaking about this. You're a very eloquent, articulate speaker. I also struggle with misophonia, mostly with any sounds relating to chewing such as slurping and smacking. It is difficult for me because I have to avoid eating with others. It's frustrating because whenever I communicate this condition with others they seem to take it personally and act as if it's just a pet peeve or me being overdramatic. But it seems like our brains have a bit of a "glitch" where certain sounds that aren't important are perceived as such and are amplified, causing this intense emotion that we experience. Hopefully, more research will be conducted in the coming years on this condition and how to treat it. It's good to hear you have found a healthy way to cope with your misophonia. I wish you the best of luck with your endeavors and your musical career.
Hi! You're welcome! I don't often talk about my Misophonia, because not everyone understands. I hope they will do more research on this and come up with ways to deal with the condition. We're trying to do our best to live in a world that isn't made for people like us.
There is no reason to post something this unprepared. I’m sure you’re a good tuba player but this just isn’t it.
I was going to play this for my solo performance but the piano accompanist scrapped it for me because she hated how angular it was 😆. Good stuff though!
I'm sorry. That's not nice. I hope you someday get to perform it.
@@garrisoncluff5367 oh don’t worry I found a new latin piece which personally I prefer too.
@@nedmanifold cool 😎 What piece was it?
@@garrisoncluff5367it’s called Bangu, just a little trombone solo. Not too sure if the music’s up online since it’s just from a book.
@@nedmanifoldsounds fun!
That’s really neat it was your grandfathers! I hope you always treasure it
I will!
This may not be the best piece of recorded music but it’s a great start for getting to know the methods and rhythms in my opinion. If you listen to it as background music you’d find more depth and meaning.
Thanks for the comment. I'll take that into consideration.
I’d like to thank the algorithm gods for showing me this. I always enjoy seeing the bass/baritone/tuba parts isolated from songs
Hello! Welcome to my channel! I enjoy recording these videos!
Do you make it?
This was for a show the orchestra leader later cancelled.
It's like an apple rotting away in but a worm comes and enjoys it.
Thanks!
By golly, he's right!
This is wonderful playing to make of all of "America" so happy fun! I enjoy 😁do you listen to limp bizkit
No, I don't listen to Limp Bizkit. Thanks for the comment! I started playing trombone about a year ago.

Not bad at all. With some really nice vibrato ❤
on the A part im pretty sure you used legato lines instead of the lines to bind two note values together, this does only make a difference when playing the recording in the software though and doesnt change the visuals. Otherwise very good!
Thanks! There wasn't much written on the Carmen singer part. I just had to use my imagination.
I use MuseScore 3 software to do scores. It's the only one I can afford. I'm pretty sure MuseScore 4 gave me a virus last time I used it.
Nice
Thanks! I've been working on it for a few weeks. My friend Chanson is teaching me trombone.
Congrats on a job well done. I look forward to playing this later.
This is a practice video. Not a performance video.
Note that the open string will sound different than the string you are playing on a fret.
hey:) what they ⬇️ said!!!
😊 Thanks! 😊
This is amazing!
Thanks! Welcome to my channel.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to apply those.
This is great. I only started learning guitar recently & I'm documenting my entire learning journey on here so this was super motivational!
Thanks. Congrats on learning guitar. It's hard to play right.

Great Spanish!🎉
