This is the very best video on party comp that i've ever watched.. Gear overlap was the great issue in my 2 first playthrough.. I'm at the third one now, first time with the durge, i will make these 4 characters and plus a open hand monk, because free gear..

Id replace the gloomstalker ranger with a swords bard using the band of the mystic scoundrel and the helm of arcane acuity as my archer.

Does the shadow blade thing still work? In a playthrough with friends and getting close to the house of healing to get the ring but want to try to make sure it still works before I try to do it

All of these builds played well are so strong that it kind of makes the need for a team redundant when they're soloing every encounter in 1-3 turns.

wrong, you can roll 4 2h fighters or 4 bards and fk this game like there is no tomorrow. Just git gud and learn mechanics.

I would say this is a pretty good "fair" comp (fair-ish, you are still using Bhaalist armor + slaying arrows). You are not taking advantage of many game-breaking mechanics such as stunning fist scaling with str, abjuwizard or angelic reprieve metamagic stacking. It's prefectly viable, but far from the best comp unless you have a self-imposed rule against abusing the more broken stuff (in which case an archer should be off the table).

Last comment I swear lol do you think the gloomstalker is better using the bows you suggested or the titanstring with giant strength elixer? Not sure but again titanstring and the elixers are broken imo

Especially on honor mode I feel like there are a few items that are broken and must be included on a team if you claim it as the best. Band of the mystic scoundrel plus helm of arcane acuity are busted busted. Easily the best two items in the game and must be used. Also really like the hat of fire acuity for the same reason. Only other thing I thought of is use monk. It is top three build in the game and makes most boss fights trivial with stunning strike. Plus all his gear is free for him to use and is exceptionally strong.

Agreeing on the points. :) As for ”best” comp there are quite many answers tbh. There are so many aspects to take into consideration. I find several melee characters can delete single targets like no others, especially if you don’t wanna long rest often. And camp buffers make a big difference aswell (bar after confronting the brain the first,time.)

I agree I want to have a healer in my head but besides luminous orb/rad orb cleric all are super underwhelming compared to just another damage dealer

Hi Mate. I followed this vid now for 30 hours. However i can only wear Medium Armor if i first chose Lightly Armoured and at lvl 8 Moderately Armoured. Was this patched or something? Cause at lvl 3 ->4 as on your VID (10:21) you can even chose Moderately Armoured which i cant. I first need to unlock the light one... Means i cant use savage attacker right now with lvl 8

You said to start with The Dark Urge to get cloak and give it to Astarion and play him instead. But which build would be the best on the main character to pair with? I have seen your bardadin build but both builds have some items, is it anything you can recommend? Is it huge disadvantage if I will start with Astarion? Also, which one is better overall bardadin or this one? Thank you very much for your hard work!

There is an another Sorlock video (can't recall specifically) which has garnered over 1.1 million views. Imho, this video surpasses it in every aspect. It should have at least 10-15x modifiers for views. The content was easy to understand even for a noob like me who is in his first week of trying to understand DnD/BG3 mechanics.
