Heard the wind...
Wake me up when you hit 280....
Bomba 245😮😊😊❤❤
I have a 1999 VFR 800, It reads 162mph. I know for a fact these bikes go faster that 240kmh! 250-260kmh is more like it ;o)
Nasty
Mine tops at 140mph but not sure if its the actual speed. Need to gps measure it... ( on closed track of course 😂)
God forbid this character gets a faster bike !! Rides like a fairy qll over the road and can't take a corner !!
Nice 😍
i just got a 2014 VFR800. I used to ride a vfr750, then a g1 hayabusa 20+ yrs ago. All iu gotta say, is I love VFRs, but damn...the busa isa doing 150mph in 3rd gear!!! haha
I have a 2004 6th generation. Candy red from the factory. Fabulous handling and Probably Honda's best sports tourer and more than plenty of power. I've put an aftermarket seat on and can ride any amount of time without my backside complaining.46000 kms and never missed a beat apart from replacing the voltage regulator. Love it.😎
What the.. is that kmh or mph? Either way that’s impressive!
Kmh m8
151mph
What was all that weaving around at the beginning for? 🤷🤦🤡
probably tire warming, don't know how cold it was but that could be it.
@@gavinevans6183 That, and knocking the dirt and gravel off them .
You get just a taste of the sound when the VTEC engine switches from two to four barrels (6700 RPM) and becomes a monster. Shifts are too short but if you make another video love to see higher RPMs before shifting. Regardless, the VFR 800 Is the perfect bike b
Lol did you watch the same video? Plenty of times vtec kicked in.
What barrels
@@Broodjemetbelegyou’re right, I didn’t wait long enough. About 1:45 is what I’m talking about.
There r bikes out there that r faster, bikes that r more nimble, that r more comfortable but none that sound better. V4 ❤.
I do love the 800 and my 1200 but I what I really want more than anything is an updated VFR 1200 with chain drive, bit less weight, cruise control, quick shifter, nice tft, heated grips, and a bigger tank. Thats my ultimate sports tourer right there.
The only reason I sold my VFR800Vtec is because it ran out of steam at 240kph. I needed that extra ...maybe 20kph..but it was a stupendous bike !!
@@peterkoning21Autobahn is boring though
@markhingst5368 I would also add better engine sound on that updated VFR1200 you are wishing for, becasue that VFR1200 sounds really boring, my friend has a VFR1200 with a full system on it, still sounds like shit, especially compared to the VFR 800. Other than that I really like my friends VFR1200 , goes like a rocket and has a perfect riding position, too bad I can not get on with that boring sound it makes :P
@mathias6423 I hear what your saying but I am happy enough with the 1200 sound running a DAM exhaust no baffle, I will forgo that because I have several other bikes that sound bad ass 😁
El ixil race que montas es Homologado? No se si en españa podría?
Crazy speed!! Incredible ro see that bike flash past cars like they were standing still!
Love it!!
Hey, I have a 2009 VFR and want to put quick shifter on it. Can you gide me to the right direction please. Thanks
Danke..
Rc93 Björn 2017
Needs 140/150hp
Why?
Id say no. The amount of power it has and the power delivery is amazing and very usable at all times. If this power is not enough look for another bike. My vfr goes head to head with a 1000cc hypermotard from 60mph no issues
That's insane for an 800 sports tourer
Naja, da fährt ja FAST meine GS schneller.....
Topspeed: 220...
If this bike had 30 more horsepower, 30nm more torque, 20 kg less weight and cruise control it would be a good bike. They still look great even though the design of the model is almost 9 years old and they sound very good with full exhaustsystem. I would love it if Honda made a new one that would beat the 110hk Ducati Supersport in performance, since I feel that bike has the minimum amount of performance I want for sporttouring. I would rather buy Honda than Ducati because of reliability and overall price on bike and servicecosts.
The most recent VFR looks great in my opinion. If they made a 1000 cc V4 with 150 hp, modern suspension and all the modern electronic gadgets, then I would be happy to buy a new one. The old bikes are still great bikes, they just failed to follow the time.
@@AndreasBrOlesen Yeah, I also think the 2014 and onwards VFR looks good, it has a little more Italian flavour for being a Japanese bike, the older 2008 and such models looked pretty decent for its time aswell. It also does not sound like most Japanese bikes :) Yeah I would love a 1000cc V4 and 150HP would be more than enough If they could lower the weight a bit. I think they would sell pretty good don't you ? I heard the Ducati Supersport 950 is selling pretty good. Imagine that kind of weight with a 1000cc V4 with 130-160 hp. Would be awesome, most similar bikes today like the GSX-S1000GT and Ninja 1000 SX have too upright handlebars for my taste. I much prefer the more sporty riding triangle like the VFR has, not to extreme like 600 supersport but not dead right up like a naked bike.
@@mathias6423 I agree. I also think a modern bike like that would be pretty popular. The Ninja 1000 SX and the Suzuki GSX-S GT do sell well, and the VFR really is a bit more special, with the V4 sound, and the other VFR specialities. I also agree on the riding position. The VFR hits a sweet spot for me. It is upright enough to be comfortable at low speeds, and still leaned forward enough to feel sporty, and for me it is also more comfortable for my back. Really few bikes today offer that riding position.
@@AndreasBrOlesen Yeah it is a damn shame about the riding position on modern sporttourers. DId you ever try the Kawasaki H2 SX ? I test rode it 2018 when it was a brand new model, damn man. It also had a more sporty riding position like the VFR and while it was heavier (like 260 kg fully fueled) it hid its weight very good. Ever since I test rode that H2 SX with that compressor "whistle" (and 200HP) sound that sounds like a turbo, that bike made me feel so special that day, It has been my dreambike ever since. I would love to have that bike when traveling across my europe trips. It had compressor, semiactive suspension, cruise control, quickshift up and down, color display with bluetooth and navigation, heated grips, heated seat, cornering lights, great panniers and it handled awesome for its size. There is a model without most of the electronics in black color that only was made between 2018-2019 which still has cruise control and all the safety electronics. That version is much cheaper and if you just add the panniers for it, it would be a lot of bike for not much money. For instance, they sell now in Sweden brand new 2019 modell with 0 miles for about 13 000 - 15 000€ with panniers included. Did you ever try the H2 SX ?
@AndreasBrOlesen Yeah? OK, go get a late (2016) VFR1200F.... 173 bhp, huge torque, it'll do the 250kph shown here in 5th gear, engage 6th and it'll shoot to its 275kph (limited) in the blink of an eye. Built by Honda to replace the CBR1100 Blackbird, and see off the Hayabusa/ZXR1400.
The amount of power and the power delivery on a VFR is just perfect for street use in my opinion. Still slow enough to play with the gears (also because the sound/power delivery makes it fun at lower revs too), and fast enough to hang on and not get embarrassed by most cars. In the twisties it is super forgiving and neutral steering, feels so natural. Love the bike!
That is how you know it is a pretty slow bike, when you say it is fast enough to not get embarrassed by most cars instead of most bikes.
@@mathias6423 It is pretty quick from a standstill to around 150 kph, mostly due to its linear torque, long wheelbase and heavyish weight. After that it will get embarrassed by every modern 600cc sport bike. But in todays standard is isn’t exactly fast. It sounds amazing though!
@@AndreasBrOlesen Yeah we are 100% on the same page, yeah It sounds awesome, too bad the VFR 1200 sounded like shit for a V4. That bike has the power I would like the VFR800 to have :)
@@AndreasBrOlesen I really hope Honda is making a new generation V4 SPORTtourer. There is rumors of it happening on sites such as Visordown and others. These "adventure" kind of sporttourers does not speak to me at all. I always thought it looked weird sitting that upright on a sporttourer bike. It should be semisporty, in between of a naked bike and a full on supersport bike. I had a Ninja 1000 SX 2018 for one year and I always felt weird riding that bike im 2 meters tall (6'7) and sitting that upright on a bike that looks like a sportbike just felt and looked weird. And I was getting so much wind like a sail on a boat with those upright bars not leaning into the wind :(
@@mathias6423Seriously, I told everyone VFR 1200 sound is very bad, it does not sound like a V-engine. But the sound of 800 VFR is divine
Welches Windschild hast du verbaut?
Hey Moin.
Was the road a little bit downhill or it's just my impression? Same bike but never done more than 248km/h.. Still good though I guess :P Nice windscreen! Name?
Could be, there are a lot of factors. Rider size, weather, tire condition etc. On my 2002 vfr the indicated top speed was higher on old tires, because they are smaller in diameter when they are spent. In reality the top speed is the sme, it's just that the engine needs to spin faster for the same speed and the indicated speed is calculated from gearbox rpm.
Yes, the road was a little bit down 😬 My Topspeed on the speedometer was 262km/h, but the road was also little downhill. On a flat raod my Topspeed is 250-255km/h 😬 The windscreen is from Ermax.
Fuel consumption ? 12l / 100km ?
