My 2023 Hair Adventures... Bleaching Hair at Home, Colouring & Cutting My Hair(Bleach Fail?)
It all started 2 years ago, when I was dealing with a lot of my own problems and grieving my dad. These hair adventures really helped me to move forward in a way and gave me new inspiration, newly found creativity and much more. Perhaps they were a distraction from my current reality, but they also brought excitement into my life. But changing my hair so often took a toll on it and I really owe my hair a brake now. If I wanted to keep this channel mainly about hair, I would not be able to do that. I love messing with my hair, always have, but it's not something I plan to do all the time in the long run.
And there are so many more things I would like to concentrate on instead and do someth...

    If we forget about the fryed hair. What was she thinking when she choose witch parts to bleach ?!?! I swear I could instruct my 12 year old son to do a better balayage. Even if she would have managed to get all the lightened parts the same level and tone, it would have looked horrible. How on earth does she have returning clients ?

    Did she think you weren't going to notice she fried your hair? It wasn't the coconut oil. You washed it out and if anything it would put a barrier on the hair.

    I end up putting mine in at night and sleeping with it in my hair like a hair mask. It has no harsh chemicals so won't ruin my hair. The longer you keep it in your hair, the better. Also, I wash with cool water and I can't stand to not wash it every day so I most definitely do! It lasts for 3 to 4 weeks. 😊

    It’s nit a chemical reaction she left it on for to long with to much volume Coconut oil does not stop bleach and certainly not 30 or 40 volume

    You have to use cool water and only wash once a week. When you wash you can add some of the red dye (without the developer) to your shampoo and conditioner. (I add it directly in to the shampoo and conditioner and shake the bottles really well to miss. Works like a charm!

  • @vikm1341

    its not the coconut oil. I have been bleaching my own hair for years and use coconut oil the day before. I would rather ruin my own hair than have a hair dresser ruin my hair. I prefer to air dry my hair but some hair dressers don’t respect what I say. Im so sorry this happened to you. I would wear hair extensions until your hair grows out. Thats what i did and its growing but i still have a long hair look.

  • @Tesseus2006
    @Tesseus2006 9 месяцев назад

    Expert opinion here: it was not the coconut oil. It was a combination of strong peroxide strength on fine hair for extended period of time. She probably had no experience bleaching hair and in some previous attempt probably had the hair turn out orange when she used 20 vol. But the diameter/tickeness of the strands should be a factor while formulating. Also was heat used? If so the fojls may have swelled up and overflowed the strong mixed on to the scalp. Final answer is: shampoo, conditioner or coconut oil do not not cause a reaction with lightener.

    Same thing happened to me. Grew out virgin hair for four years just like you. My hair was down to my ribs. I went for a money peice and my hair was fried and I chopped it above my shoulders like you. I didn't have bangs but now do to the bleach damage I do. It looks horrible. Everytime I look at myself I feel sick.

  • @StrawberryKitty222
    @StrawberryKitty222 10 месяцев назад

    Let me get this straight...you washed your hair 3 times before getting bleach? Lol no wonder your scalp was burning! Thats why youre not suppose to wash your hair for AT LEAST a week but preferably longer before putting bleach on your scalp! Your natural oils are what protect your scalp. PLUS putting coconut oil on your hair is extremely damaging!! It gives it too much protein and can cause what is called 'protein overload' making your hair feel like straw but its not actually dry, its too much protein and not enough moisture which can sometimes take weeks to repair and restore the balance! So basically.. you overloaded your hair with protein, then proceeded to wash your hair 3 times which is a big no no and now blaming the hair salon when youre hair came out fried.. lol sorry but it was your fault!! The stupidity in this video, i cant 😂😂

    I am so sorry this happened to you! It absolutely should not have, considering you had virgin hair… it should have been a clean, even lift. She lifted you WAY too high in the back underneath. Where it’s like white blonde and breaking. I always start with 10 vol in the back and move up to 20 or even 30 in some rare cases as I finish the final section, that way they’re all ready to be rinsed about the same time frame. Even with starting with 10 vol in the back, I will go through and pull the very first foils I put in while they’re still sitting in my chair processing. This ensures the first foils I put in won’t be over processed, because the bleach is sitting on those strands the longest amount of time, if that makes sense. I use this method in all of my blonde clients. I find it keeps those delicate little baby hairs under the nape of neck bright, but still healthy. I am a hairdresser that cares/ prioritizes health of the hair vs color and or style. Because it doesn’t matter how blonde we can get you, If you don’t have any healthy hair left to highlight. I truly do not think it was the coconut oil. I’ve known of chemical reactions to happen when someone has a build up of minerals in the hair from hard water, well water, or chlorine build up. Our chemicals can have a bad reaction with that, I’ve even heard of the foils heating up and smoking! Chemical reactions are rare and scary but they do happen every once in awhile. A way to minimize unpredictable results, would be to strand test first… also a clarifying treatment prior to a color service can prevent such things. I wish I could clarify every client before doing their hi lights (most of the clients in my area have well water- which is tricky with blonde) a clarifying treatment for everyone- so I have a nice clean base to work with. Sometimes the hair won’t lift easily due to mineral build up in the hair. Clarifying first would help. Unfortunately it’s just not practical in salon. I don’t have time to wash and blow out every single client 2x. So I will often advise my clients to book a clarifying treatment prior to their color service… or even recommend clarifying shampoo they can do it themselves at home before coming in 😊

    Hey I know was posted a while ago but I just wondered has the red washed out of your natural brown roots completely now? I want to dye mine like yours I have literally the same hair (bleach blonde dyed brown with natural dark brown roots) and I want it to be this same colour I have now again in a couple months if I dye it. Ty!

      @avaandangels1 Год назад

      Hi, sorry for replying so late. It seemed to wash out, there was no visible red tint to my roots, but then I tried to bleach it again, and the red was there. like a peachy strip where my natural hair was dyed red. So I'd say it really holds on to virgin hair (it's the healthiest) I hope this helps :)
