This is crazy. I bought a TLM 102 with that exact same serial number... either you returned it to the person I bought it from, or it's another fake that is using the same serial number.
Could be the same but I highly doubt it. My guess is that they just repeat the same serial number over and over but you never know! If it’s fake, send that junk back!

Haha i didn’t even know they made fakes 😅😅 i’ve had mine for 2 and 1/2 years now and it looks p much real to me even registered it on their website so it’s a-ok i think:) ty for the informative video!

They definitely do! They’re everywhere on the used market. Either buy at the high price by a trusted site or buy way cheaper used and use this video to make sure it’s all good! 💪🏽

Whew, I bought one for $500 used on EBay and everything checks that it’s genuine. I also sent the microphone to Neumann and they confirmed it was an authentic model. Thanks for the video dude ❤

Man they are faking TLM 102's now too? No one is safe. I checked out a used U87 in person at a Guitar Center and I suspect it's a fake. My advice is to not buy used Neumann mics unless you can see them in person before buying. Great video man!
I completely agree with you! I don't mind buying from different venues as long as I am protected as a buyer. I can always get my money back. Wastes a little bit of time if it's fake but it does allow me to see what new things the scammers are trying to do. Keeps me up to date on their scheming ways haha

@@groke7275 Oh I see now. It's dependent on the velocity. So it doesn't slide when you hit the keys softer but as you hit them harder there's a certain point where it automatically slides into the note for you.
