1979 Sian Single Cylinder Diesel Engine
1979 Sian Diesel Engine from the Republic of China. It was a long process to get this engine running from not running. Sat for many, many years. The injector pump was rusted stuck and the rings were not creating enough compression; valves were pitted too. This engine took hard work, creativity and time to get going again and here is a glimpse of those efforts.

Deutz F1L210D Diesel Engine

This is a Deutz single cylinder engine I picked up and had to do some work to make it run. It had been left open to the weather for several years and was full of water. After draining it and a few other things, I was impressed when it fired up so easily. Nice little runner. I wanted to show how the throttle and governor worked while I had the throttle cover off also.

This is the unloader valve in a 1989 Chevy bus that was not “unloading” properly until I found the leak that was affecting it. I wanted to show what was happening, that the compressor was not stopping, and then show it working properly and also show the general operation of the unloader valve.

Why am I only getting 25 psi and not building air
I would check for air leaks before assuming the compressor is not working. It takes fittings and creative thinking but you can hook up an external air compressor to search for leaks without the constant sound of your engine making it hard to find those leaks.

where can get this engine parts ?
Is that the line that goes to the intake ?
Where was it leaking it at ?
The hole was in the line that goes to the drier, so every time it popped off at the drier it would act like it never reached full pressure and start compressing again.
Just bought a truck that had the SMALL airline going to the Dryer PLUGGED !.!?!?. The old line was broken and they stuck a Tire plug tool into the line coming from the Compressor?!?!. Truck drove fine but now it's not building pressure and I don't remember ever hearing the Dryer "Pop Off" .... My dryer has 3 lines. 2 big and 1 small, The SMALL line is what I gotta figure out it's purpose and what to replace now to get Air pressure. I replaced the Governor and it didn't help. what can I check to make sure my compressor isn't bad ?? Thanks for any help.
Generally the compressor should build pressure unless it has severe leaks or the unloader valve is being actuated before it reaches governed pressure. If you suspect the governor is actuating the unloader valve then try plugging the pressure line to the governor and see if the compressor builds up air pressure. Just a thought. Good luck.
Is the unloader make the compressor no stop? Keep it run all time?

yes i have seen them with separate oil tank and metering pump. i have ran TCW3 2 stroke oil in this poppet valved 2 stroke with good results. the oil someone got me was quicksilver synthethic TCW3 from walmart to fill the tank, as this is aloop scavenged poppet valved 2 stroke it is unusual but the tcw3 is the best i used in it so far. its rigged with total loss oil burnoff and sounds like a sachs 2 stroke diesel. nice to see these 2 stroke still going! Both my small block v8 2 stroke, 8v92 detroit and rotary are all on amsoil dominator synthetic 2 stroke oil all though buying 6 gallons of this 2 stroke stuff aint cheap! Tjis stuff is like around 11.50 a quart from a seadoo dealer but much cheaper in bulk. having big 2 strokes is somthing: heres a vw 1.9 diesel 2 stroke conversion:ruclips.net/video/qosAllch8Sg/видео.html

Make sure your lines are clear and filter is good so that you have sufficient fuel flow. If you are having trouble with getting fuel to the injector pump there are some options, such as an electric pump, raising the fuel tank to create a good gravity feed, or putting in an inline hand pump like on outboard motor’s. If the issue is getting fuel to the pump that is where I would start. If you are losing prime in your system but have sufficient flow make sure all of the hoses are fresh, enough that they aren’t cracked or brittle where air can get in, and make sure they are tight where they connect onto the fittings. My last thought on keeping the pump primed is to put in an inline check valve so that the fuel cannot go back into the tank. Hope that helps.

i love this small poppet valved loop scavenged 2 stroke, what a unique design, sounds like iuts bug brother saachs 2 stroke and a detroit! i got my 2 stroke diesel on amsoil dominator as its a v8 and drinks the oil too.I get 6 gallns of asmoil dominator 2t syntetic.. i want to get 6 gallons motul 800 2t if i can find it!. my rotary takes 5 quarts of amsoil dominator synthetic 2 stroke oil with oil injection and my v8 small block 2 stroke 8 quarts and the 8v92 2 stroke 6 gallons. its fun getting it onlone as the local seadoo dealer is out of thisd 2 stroke stuff now!

Do you have any idea why the high pressure fitting in the top of the pump , that the injector pipe fits into , is not tight ..indeed if you tighten it down it traps the fuel metering rod ..Is it some form of fuel pressure regulation ?
I do not know sorry. If I had to guess it would be to make it easier to throttle or more stiff depending on the application, such as mine which is a stationary engine and spends its time revving at full throttle.
Nice day cycle 2 stroke loop scavenged 2 stroke like a sachs 2 stroke diesel, sounds like a little detroit diesel, im currently looking at a deutz stroke 3 cylinder diesel with separate oil tank, it can burn shell rotella or any good TCW3, it currently on quicksilver synthetic tcw3 in 2 gallon feed tank and runs good, i hope the guy with sell this 2 stroke deutz gal to me! What 2 stroke oil do you use in her? is it clark uniflow scavenged or day loop scavenged. I ran tcw3 in a small 2 stroke diesel before and so far so good. does it it use a VRO or is fed from the bottom! How does it compare to the sachs 2 stroke dl600 diesel?
It's a 4 stroke not 2
