Medieval 2 Total War - HRE General with Insanity Trait gives a Speech
"Der Kaiser hat nicht mehr alle Tassen im Schrank..." - Some random German soldier
Since nobody has recorded an insane general speech in Medieval 2 yet I decided to do it myself. A little bit of modding made poor Kaiser Heinrich mad and now he's talking about wierd creatures like elvenkings and the "french".
0:52 - The Kaiser and his Magic Whistle
1:14 - The Kaiser talks about Chess Pieces
1:38 - The Kaiser talks about not being French anymore

Image if such asset had a similar content as that Austrian painter...
True Averland leader(
Me: Hmmmmm seems like a normal speech. General: Proceeds to break the 4th wall. Me: :O
"I used to think I was french" has the same energy as "years ago I was chinese"
The first speech is something I could expect to hear from an SS officer. Very accurate and well done 🦾
If you put them in Total War: Warhammer instead they go from "He's insane" to "He's absolutely right" really quickly.
Man I love this game, this is something I miss from modern total wars, battles are so meaningfull and without personality. There is nothing but cheese your way to victory and its becoming quite boring tbh. Plus I want to add, even if the game was in another language than english, every character had its own accent depending on where he was from. In other words, I played the game in spanish and when i played with the kingdom of France my generals talked in spanish with french accent. This is just a work modern CA couldn't even consider to do, what a shame.
How did you do a full caped battering ram?
he keeps going on and on and on jajajajajajaj
How general hux become a medieval knight 😂😂😂
I only played this to the point of unlocking the Americas once, and by that point the king I had was completely mad. I loved the role play aspect that the ‘mad king’ suddenly decided that he and 10 full stacks should sail out into uncharted waters that held nothing or would be far too vast to reach the other side of Asia. And then the crazy man gets validated by finding the New World
I didn’t know the inanity trait effected speeches
Rome 1 speech: Sounds like he's actually trying to give a speech to his army medieval 2 speech: Sounds like he's talking only to the man standing next to him
"...Let's to the fight!" You first. 🤣
Scottish clans did actually have fairy banners, theres still at least one left on display in a museum. Supposedly a supernatural gift to old clan chiefs that grants victory whenever unveiled in battle
still better than Wilhelm II
This is excellent writing
1:11 I DO! YEAH
"YES MY LORD🗿"
Are there patches that modernize MTW2?
That's why I miss about TW in the '00s: insane games.
These little touches made TW a great franchise and MTW2 arguable the best of it.
Sounds like a German Luthor Harkon.
He makes more sense than the current German government, though.
yas mein kaiser
My favorite total war game still to this day. The sieges are so much more fun than in all the other TW games
Meanwhile me scratching myself listening to his speech: "you think he's got a spare whistle for me?"
Lmao !
I don't know... he sounded entirely reasonable to me.
Well I'd follow him!
A German that thinks he’s French wouldn’t you call that Belgian?
I had one as Venice and he talked with his horse 😂
He a little confused but he got the spirit
I love how as the speech goes on he sounds more and more like Hilter
i mean he was right, he was indeed as a chesspiece moved about for the amusement for darkling creatures, us
'I did think I was French, but now I am mostly better' is my favourite line as an Englishman.
It’s rare to find someone who’s willing to admit when they’re wrong
the slow, hesitant clap is definitely the funniest part
I would follow him
True RPG tw. Imagine seeing this guy born after incestous marriage, and as he come of age u send him to patrol your borders and launch invasion for the King
....Their mothers are a hamsters and their fathers smell on elderberries...
Let him cook
.....😂. Yeah if i thought i was french i would be relieved to be proven wrong as well.
The fact that he ever thought himself as french really made his insanity worse
Morale... kaput
He do got a point tho
The one reason why I I love these old game is how the generals will literally give a speech
This is the community service we all needed but didn't know we needed. Thanks for doing this.
My morbid fear of garlic is no hindrance to high command!
A real mad man isn't aware that he's totally lost it. Also, this guy seems rather racist.
Many of the new games like Rome 2, Three Kingdoms, and Troy have great gameplay mechanics, historical accuracy, non-generic playable factions, and capture the politics of the time periods better. It is unfair to simply rate them low because the speeches got cut. And even in some of those games you can hear speeches during deployment (minus the cinematic).
Rome 2 was released broken and was fixed fir years
Counterpoint: the Romans in II have yet to gain protection from the Moon Folk because they've been nerfed via having their lovely hats taken away. That needs correction, and there's no room for excuses.
