No se eso de aikido real, solo conozco un Aikido y es el del fundador, los demas son sucedaneos que se han aprovechado del nombre . pero eso de aikido de........ es una falsedad.Lo podeis llamar de otra forma pero: AIKIDO es el que creo el fundador

This is poor Aikido. In fact, I would say it's Jitsu - not Aikido. The irimi is poor and there are more pauses than on a faulty VHS casette player. The ushira work is poor - tori moves far too early - definitely staged. Aikido is realistic and this kinda of staging just shows it be bullshido.

Aikido is not ment to be aggressive ur going against the whole idea behind aikido by making it aggressive and as a result ur sacraficing the roots of aikido and the technique

This is good I like it, very fast and aggressive...a bit more like a real fight than most of the sort of cooperative demonstrations you see.

I have trained in MMA, Judo, boxing and traditional martial arts such as Kung Fu and Aikido. Aikido does have many devastating techniques that can be used in a street fight as well as a dojo. People seem to forget that in a street fight the Aikido practitioner will also use punches, kicks, headbutts and even biting and eye gouging to save their life- just like Krav Maga promotes. This is human nature. Where Aikido comes into its own is the defense against knives and weapons and multiple opponents, which cage fighters do not practice for. Laying on the ground attempting a BJJ triangle is great in the ring but in the real world your opponents mates are likely to give your head a good kick for target practice. I would rather have these Aikido skills in my arsenal than not having them and there are also times where punching someone in the face repeatedly is not an option and may make a situation much worse. Sometimes a subtle Aikido wrist grab release will free you from your intoxicated bigger opponent, often without causing much of a scene and ruining your night or filling in police reports.

most techniques are fake, cuz you can see, how "attackers" help to make them. attacks are slow, more over that.

I kinda started to like aikido...

I always smile when folks say that Aikido doesn't work in street fights. Do you punch in a street fight? Do you kick? Do you grab your opponent and try and head butt for instance? Yeah, you do. The form of training in Aikido is to create instincts in the Akidoka. Just like in boxing you practice to slip punches.

not only that...If you see people boxing, the best way to avoid get hit, commonly is to cacth the opponent, get so close that he can´t throw punches. For example, a jab is effective if you stay in the same trayectory. Take a little step back and pull up your hands, entering. This way you un-balance your opponent. Other option is to simply skip the punch and get closer, catching the opponent. And, moreover, to launch jabs in a real figth it is no as easy as it appears.

But Bruce Lee took the time to learn Wing Chun, not someone who spent a bit of time in Aikido before inventing this shite.

it is the same way that Bruce Lee transformed Wing Chun and other forms of kung fu into freeflow martial arts - MMA - real life or real world fights without the rigid forms of movement which wont be useful out in the streets - in real life, so therefore Jeet Kune Do,or in this case adopted and adjusted version of Aikido - Real Aikido - Real life Aikido,in some ways simplified, some rigidness was cast out some other experience in real life fights like in military or police purposes was introduced

This so wrong at many levels , aikido is about receving the energy of the oppenent , neither resisting it or throwing yourself on him . You wait for him statistically and use his energy against him not running all over and doing f'in flips . This might be impressive but it's an agressive side of aikido.

Wow, every move seems telegraphed... As if to say, this is what I'm going to do to you! I guess in the Aikido world people attack static ally WAITING for you to counter. Also in the Aikido world, unrealistic strikes and grabs... Because you'll never know when an attacker will come at you with his guard down, both hands out and grabbing for your wrists or punch and leave it hanging out there for three seconds so you can perform your technique!

all very true... aikidokas struggle against people who know how to box! We rely on using your power so if you just jab then there is no power to blend with... that said, it is not in aikido to make the attacking move so if you jab at me i just move around and dodge until i find an entry point for a technique, also you should never "catch" a punch.. redirect or blend yes but not catch

and one day you may find you knocked out by a cheeky teenager with no martial arts practice... it isn't the art that makes a fighter, it's the fighter that makes the art. Also, don't just generalise aikido there are many forms and at what point is it that an aikidoka wins a "fight"? when the opponent has broken arm/s? Most aikido practitioners train to just get out of situations, not inflict pain. But that said mate.. what i do in my dojo to my friends is not how i would fight on the street

it is aikido.... otherwise you must discount Tomiki and all other forms of aikido other than O'Sensies version... or to look at it another way you might aswell say there is only one true Karate.. the sensei of this club trains President Putins bodyquards, it is not Ueshibas Aikido but it is very effective, Ueshiba believed in peace and harmony and blending with attacks... these guys believe in breaking arms and making sure the attacker feels some pain lol

This is not Aikido.... At least not Ueshiba's Aikido...Real aikido? Don't get me wrong. This kind of jutsu is very spectacular and perhaps effective...but this is not Aikido. Some form of Aiki justsu perhaps... Greetings...

Dude, this is not Aikido, is "Real Aikido", a serbian version of Aikido. The guy that invented it put that name.

i just had a fight with a 2 day black belt in real aikido, i kicked his ass.....i want people to know, i train judo...

You don't catch those. You deflect and get close to have an advantage position.

I like to see Aikido movements, but I have never seen someone fighting in real match with Aikido techniques as much easy as they do when they are practicing with each other. I have trained for long time Karate 3 years, Taekwondo 10 years and now i train MMA, but the real one for my opinion is MMA, there have to use all the parts of your body and it's too hard any other sport to challenge it, because MMA got the real punches, kicks and we learn even to use our head if it is necessary.

It seems the weakness with Aikido is that all the attacks it is useful against involve big sweeping punches or grabs - where there's plenty of time to respond. An attacker with any sense is going to punch with quick straight jabs that are not so easy to catch
