yea fr, shits cringe. like with deadpool i get it because that's literally his character in the comics, but nowadays they force these corny ass quips on every fucking character in an attempt at a few cheap laughs and it just kills the soul of the shows/movies.

There is no good reason to reject Ghibli movies. Pretty sure calling Ghibli anime is like calling Disney cartoons. You're kind of a pepega.

@@5ynthet1c Ong, Howls Moving Castle was the first Ghibli film I saw as a kid, and before I even liked anime that shit was goated. Shoving a whole genre of content down the drain because you aren't familiar with the animation style is usually just ignorance imo, but people can like what they like and watch what they want I guess. Still kinda lame though that they may never expose themselves to such a vast and interesting genre all because of some memes and preconceived notions about the morons who usually watch it.

Marvel is the McDonald's of movies.

Just because it's like the normie foreign film. People tend to praise Parasite and then don't dive into any foreign cinema beyond it. It's just normie core basically, but it's like S tier normie core.

That is not the point he was making. He thinks it's a great film, but it got praised so highly cause most americans were not familiar with how great alot of other korean dramas are on the regular. It's like zoomers watching anime for the first time and calling some mediocre shows the best ever, just cause they have not watched the classics and are prone to overhype new stuff.

That is cause marvel movies lack the soul that made movies like spiderman 1 and 2 so great. All they do now is try to recreate a sense nostalgia so people will ignore the terrible writing and bland characters.
