So beautiful!!! Reminds me all the music we used to make in our family, way back to the days of my grandfather's autoharp and pump organ.

A nice tune and performance! 🌞 Kul att det finns människor som ännu spelar på cittra! När jag var liten minns jag att min mormors mor (född på 1880-talet) brukade spela religiösa sånger på cittra. Som jag förstått det var det förr ett mycket vanligt instrument i Sverige, men det är sällan man hör det spelas idag, (och jag rör mig då själv ganska mycket i folkmusiksammanhang). Psalmodikon var ett vanligt, enkelt instrument för att ta ut psalmer, och jag kan tänka mig att cittran blev efterföljaren till detta(?), då jag själv förknippar cittra nästan enbart med religiös musik. Förmodligen hade det mycket med väckelserörelsen att göra.. Den enda folkmusikgrupp i Sverige som jag kan påminna mig ha använt cittra i sin repertoar är väl Burträskarna, (som upplöstes 1995).
