I thought Alexander Dunbar 1st of Westfield had a son David Dunbar of Moray - 1st of Durris. I was told that male Durris line has living desendents.

Hey, I made this chart based off of Burkes' Peerage, so I know not all the sons of Alexander 1st of Westfield are there, he had a total of 6, and I only mentioned 3 of them, the other 3 were priests or deacons with the Catholic Church before the Protestant Reformation and they did have some recorded children that just married their cousins. I have recently come into some new Dunbar sources however, and have found David Dunbar of Durris (bc.1526, dc.1599), comes from Sir Alexander Dunbar of Conzie, Kilbuyack, Aldcash, & Alves d.1498 - his line. Westfield > Conzie etc. > Blervie > Durris

The information can be found "House of Dunbar: The Rise and Fall of a scottish noble family, Part 2 After the fall of the Earldom of Dunbar" by Lyle Dunbar. There could very well be male living descendants of Durris, but from what I found the only reason they had living descendants with the surname Dunbar was because females at the end of a line would just marry a male cousin and the Dunbar name continued, I do plan on making a chart with those three brothers and their entangling lines to the present day. Thank you for the Questions, I'm always glad to help and to be called out if I make a mistake, I know I'm not perfect.

When do you intend to release the 2nd bruce video. I am trying to find the parents of Mary Polly Bruce born 1590. She married Ensign Thomas Washer in colonial America. I was hoping your info may shed light on this person.

Fascinating! Wow, that's a lot of research. I'm finding my own family research fascinating but tedious. I'm tracing a John Parker from the colonies ( of which there were apparently many John Parkers) to England, then France. I'm told that would lead to Scotland as well but I think the most difficult is finding sources I trust. Thank you so much for your time and effort! Enjoyed.
