What if the thing you want stopped is technically legal but is still harmful to your client (harm in the legal sense)? Wouldn't you still want to have an attorney send a letter telling them to knock it off or we'll see you in civil court? Frankly, I thought that was the simplistic definition of a cease and desist letter.

The issue is, managers have a distinctly unfair advantage over employees. A manager can take a dislike to an employee for any number of reasons, even reasons not associated with work. That manager can then make up anything they like and/or create situations which unfairly reflects on an employee without immediate accountability. I have been through this. I had a manager who happen to see my "toy" car on a weekend as I was filing up with fuel. Jealousy caused her to start a barrage of harassment. I can say harassment because I won the case against her and successfully sued due to witnesses. However, that success took many years and a nervous breakdown to get through.

The day before I was fired from Lowe's, I was called by my store manager via phone with a concern that someone came forward with a concern that I had a axe in my hand. I was in are inside garden department happen to be fiddling around with a wood splitter axe walking with it down the aisle using it as if it were a cane. I was having a conversation with the supervisor in that department about the false accusations being brought up against me. I asked him if he would vouch for me if Corporate wanted to talk to anyone on the sales so that he could verify that I always keep to myself, and work alone 98 percent of the time. He said he had my back no problem, and I made a joke about wearing a Go Pro Camera to prove my innocence, and than he got interrupted by a customer and the conversation ended after that. This supervisor had good rapport with me, and he went and told my store manager that I had a Axe in my hand. After giving a statement about the axe, I was fired the next day for Inappropriate Conduct over the phone.

I was recently fired do to false accusations of harassing a female colleague, and false witnesses were involved in the matter. I was terminated over the phone, no relevant documentation was handed to me, my hr never called me to get my side of the story. The day I was fired 7/3/24, I wasn't given my final pay, but received it two days later via direct deposit. I have worked for Lowe's almost 12 years, had great performance, all the managers liked my work, and wanted me to stay with the store. I tried transferring to another store because my boss had me singled out on many projects, I was socially excluded from other employees on the team, and Everytime I brought up change requests, or opinions to my boss, he got on the defensive and said if you don't like my time, or how I do things feel free to work at another store, Team, or go back to closing shifts.

I just had to register a second dba recently. I know ill have to update fincen information which Fugured out how to. I could not figure out how to update ein info on the IRS site though. I guess according to this video i wont have to worry about the ein part.

Still at idea stage , why would I want to have 2 llc companies and don’t care about liability. What’s going to go wrong (liability) , rural businesses don’t think that details. Big companies like google or Microsoft have one big company. No one cares about lawsuits, I don’t do crazy stuff to get into lawsuits. When you have one company, it’s obviously easy to manage, you can use same marketing people for example for different products, use common resources. In rural India, people do this kind of stuff, are you going to have different marketing teams for each companies? Same for engineers, etc

I got one of these last year and I took it very seriously, since I couldn't lawyer up, I did as they said and they stopped bothering me after that point. I would recommend if you get one and you can't lawyer up, just do what they want and get it over with, so they can stop bothering you.
