Why are you using the gunner's sight? You could use barrel level sight.

and you meet pz4s which have the same penetration but much better tower rotation speed and armor, m10 at least has lovely machinegun, soviet 14,5mm is better, but 12,7mm is very useful too.
Also bro dont use that much ap go into battle with like 20-30 rounds or less if you're good at the game so that way you dont become a fireworks show when you're hit.

american tanks are pain. nothing super good untill like rank 4
m4 = 104mm pen vs pz = 145mm pen next you get jumbo = 104 mm pen, more for apcr vs tiger = 165mm of pen if i remember well, get better tank = germany gets even better and constantly better tanks than what you have. To be honest leopard one is the only one tank which learned me to fear it, I am always feeling like they with their super good zoom can see me anywhere, but I can't see them, really it is nemesis.
