Tide & Seek Fishing
США
Добавлен 29 янв 2024
Aloha, I'm just a guy that loves fishing and being on the water and teaching others what I can.
I've spent countless hours fishing, watching and learning from others and decided to start sharing some of what I've learned and what I've done to get better. I've lived in California, Hawaii and now on the east side of Florida. Everywhere I've lived, I've fished. On Shore, Near Shore, Off Shore, Spear, Rod/Reel, Net, and Pry bar. With any luck I'll share something you can use. Mahalo for watching.

Kale hook😂😂
I like to put a little glow bead on top of the snap swivel for the kids so they don't wind on the swivel and damage the top eye.
Excellent idea, mahalo.
@TideAndSeekFishing if anything, I like to be an ideas man... haha
💯 % man... us creators don't do it for the money... for me I started my fishing channel for my mental health... I know I'm better when I fish. YT gives me the accountability to go fishing. Plus the skills I've learned help in my professional life. Keep it up sir. 🤙

Cool you were able to fish with the family. Do they use steel line? I fished with Big Mac and he used steel or copper and I wasn’t a fan. Rather do mono but I’m guessing sometimes they are just too deep. Oil on this reel please?
All Mono and yeah, that reel seriously needed some oil.
We love that sound too! Especially on the Vitamin Sea!
I miss the Ahi! It sure was yummy.
That boat is sweet!
It is a lot of editing I still use I movie since didn’t want relearn pro or another program... Keep at it and catch some fish ;)
Nice boat,thanks for the info
In process for the full walkthrough. Thanks for being here.
Nice bro, when was this? The Marlin bite off Waianae has been nuts there year so much fun!!!!!
Kauai middle October. We'll be back :)
Hi Daryl!
Watching from new smyrna, nice video
Hopefully we'll cross paths soon.
Do you take chairs out with you on the beach I am building some chair hauling PVC for mine. Just curious. and if so how do you haul yours?
Sometimes. I have some PVC hangers as well that I hang from the right side.
@@TideAndSeekFishing Thanks for the information and I did let him know Benjamin wheels that I got my knowledge from you
Great job on The cart. I actually fish that area a lot. Have 4 of the orange wheels on a fish n mate sr. If i see you ill say hello

I may have missed it. What size tires wheels do you have on your cart? I’m building something very similar. Love that cart

Good question. I use one for garbage, one for lose gear and one for fishing bleeding.

As someone whose doctor has been trying to get him to stop working and apply for disability for years, I won't do that at this point, but I only have a couple years to go before I can retire. I'm 60 and have been in the service plumbing business for 44 years! After only 20 of those years, my back and both knees were toast! I've had both knees replaced, but my back has so many issues that it's inoperable, but I'm not sure I'd want anyone to touch it anyway! Luckily, the company I work for gave me an office job as the service mgr. I'm thankful that I didn't have to go on disability, but I hate working in an office! I hate having to multi-task all day! It's still a struggle getting to and from work every day! I'm afraid to retire though🎉 because i'm afraid I wouldn't do anything constructive, except die a slow death. Doing anything just takes so much energy and effort! I have a wagon I set up years ago for fishing that is still in super condition, but it's impossible for me to pull it more than about 20'. Enter a cart like this! It would double as a walker so I could push it a long way because of it's amazing design! Therefore, I wouldn't be so scared to retire as I'd have something to do that I love! I still wouldn't go out on disability, but I sure would feel much better about retirement in a couple of year's. My point is, if there is anyone in Florida willing to take on a project building one of these, I MAY be interested in hiring you! Sorry this was so long, but thanks for hearing me out!
Where do you live? Send me an email at tideandseekfishing@gmail.com. I think I might have a way to get you hooked up.
Also, what is the function of the "spikes" on the bottom of the weights? For some reason i cant rem why those are there.
They did into the sand and hold the sinker in place. When you reel, they fold back so you can retrieve them easier.
@@TideAndSeekFishing makes sense. I rem seeing them buy for whatever reason, we never used them. Would've helped fight slight currents a bit for sure. Thanks dude.
God i miss doing this. Moved from the southeast to Canada for work about 5yrs ago. Needless to say, we aint surf casting up here. And minimal species. Everytime i visit home, i go to either the beach or a pier. Like the videos so far man! Keep it up! Also love the cart. Nothing better than getting a base model and making it YOURS and yours alone. Solid job dude. Subscribed.
it's been a lot of fun.
yo that thumbnail is awesome!😂 now THAT is the kind of clickbait I can jump on board with!
Nice cart brother what fishing rods are those you have
Daiwa Emblem Rods and Daiwa Saltist Reels.
Did you go with the roller bearings as opposed to bushings for the hubs?
Yes. Protected bearings.
lmao, that thumbnail GOES CRAZY
Absolute beast of a cart, man! I love the mods and upgrades. Can’t wait to see how it changes with time.
You should put a motor on that beast. I wouldn't want to pull or push that thing around. hehe
This cover said it all ! Nice catches 👍
Awesome cover artwork ! Great job teaching the next generation ❤
what kind of rod and reel you use? very nice!
Daiwa Saltist Realst, 2500-6000 and Diawa Emblem Rods. Got em through Salt Strong. Love them. In the video where the pelican pulls my rod and reel into the water I was able to clean it and she still purrs.
Which state are you fishing in??
Florida for this video. I also Fish CA and Hawaii.
@TideAndSeekFishing NICE! What part of Florida? I'm a 5th generation Clearwater native.
Great cart, i live in NYC, i have a big kahuna sidekick bear cart, no one in nyc or western long island has a beach cart as we dont have fish here from december to may at the big beaches to invest in one. Your cart is so great lol PS I will tell your wife your cart only cost you $250 and not $2500 to modify :D
Appreciate it :)
Going to be spending some time on your channel as well. I'm just getting started with this thing so hoping to learn from you.
@TideAndSeekFishing i am very lazy with my channel, i just try to find fish and dont teach people anything lol my theme for this year is Catch n grill.on beach asap fresh lol ppl dont care if i catch 100 fish or 1 fish they just want to see me eat something ugly and nasty looking on the beach 😅
@@KenshiroRyuFishingDojo 🤣
MAKE IT DO WHAT IT DO. NICE VIDEO might want to get a umbrella to keep some of the sun rays out.
Not a bad idea
What kind of buckets 🪣 are those

Another great cover, you should get an award for them !!
Awesome cover graphic 👍 wow’d at your cart, gave me great ideas, thanks !
Great info, thanks for the links on the EVA foam and cutters, love the crab graphic, just subscribed 👍
Cool. I noticed there’s a bottom rack. Perhaps room for motors and batteries in the future (motorized cart)?
Could be. Right now I'm enjoying the exercise but on these windy days when I gotta walk for miles to find a fish it could come in handy for sure.
You know! You could cut down on a lot of walking with a drone! That bottom shelf is perfect for putting a drone case on! They also have inexpensive kits for flying out your bait and dropping it right in the middle of a school of fish! As far as your cart goes. You sir, are an amazing fabricator! Can I pay you to build another with a couple of slight changes? Seriously!?!
@@willcordelo9582 Thank you for the tip. I am editing a Swell Pro video as we speak :)
@@willcordelo9582 As for building one, I just look good on video brother. Are you in Florida?
@@TideAndSeekFishing Very nice! I highly considered buying a Swell Pro instead of my DJI Mavic 2 Pro, but at the time my decision was the correct one. If I had to do it now, I would probably go in a different direction. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to have your drone on the ground before your battery gets down to 15% charge left. And if you are going to not use them for a while store them at 40 to 60% charged. Same with your controller! Good Luck! Yes sir, I'm in Clearwater FL.
Nice
Love it!!! Such a sick video 🤘🏼
Glad you liked it!!
Great video! So many cool ideas. What kind of rods and reels are those?
Daiwa Emblem Rods and Daiwa Saltist Reels.
And thank you :)
@@TideAndSeekFishing got it. Thank you!
I had a similar situation with a injured brown pelican on South Padre Island. With the help of some passersby I was able to catch it. It had a broken wing. After many attempts to find someone who could help with it, the sea turtle rescue group took her. They took her to the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville. They were unable to save the wing but she was given a home there and used as an exhibit for school children. She was a big hit. They are an awesome bird. By the way, the Gladys Porter Zoo has only endangered species and has a wonderful program to teach people about these animals. At the time brown pelicans were on the endangered species list and have since made a recovery to be removed from that list.
That is the finest fishing cart I've ever seen! You have just about thought of everything. Do you have a video of you building the cart? Can you use it for pier fishing? Looks like it may be too wide to get through the doors of some pay to play piers here in Texas.
Thank you for the kind words. No video of the build. I do have some photos of it mid build. The background on the website is that cart on the water. As for width, it's 2 inches wider than the Offshore Angler as I wanted a little 'tip' resistance. :)
For the quick response. Thanks. Just subscribed and I look forward to more videos. 5:50
Hope it's okay to copy a lot of your carts features. I'm more excited now to build my cart than ever.
For sure. That's why I posted it. Hoping people will grab some ideas, improve them and then share them with others. Good Building :)
It's a great cart babe, but pretty sure it was a wee bit more than $250 lol I'm also sure that all the fish you're catching are worth every bit you put into it. Any difference can be taken out in trade :)
The special effects are amazing, especially the CGI for Darryl. If I didn’t know better I would believe pelicans are real.
awesome...
Nice cart. I would totally buy that cart for $250 but I think the wheels alone would cost over $100? Guys love to overengineer things that make the wifes eyes roll.
No doubt lol
