I have the same telescope! Can you connect your phone or a monitor to display what you see? We traveled from Buffalo (cloudy) to Lima so we could see this eclipse. We were not disappointed with the eclipse view or the town! Both were wonderful!!!

Coming from South of Boston, I originally got a hotel in Ithaca NY and planned to drive the morning of depending on weather. Everything West and South was cloudy so drove another 5 hrs to Plattsburgh and end end up in the Staples parking lot by the Plattsburgh Walmart. Some high cirrus clouds but didn’t affect the view at all. Also got plenty of totality. The only thing was that 4-5 hr drive back to South of Boston turned into 12+ hrs but totally worth it! I’m thinking about a trip to Iceland next. August 26 they get into the totality band on their west coast plus I’ve always wanted to visit anyway.

The great american eclipses of 2017 and 2024 are separated by exactly 6 years, 6 months, 6 weeks and 6 days. The eclipse will take place on the last day of wrestlemania in Philadelphia and the same day as the college men's championship game taken place in Phoenix. A comet named Devils comet will also be visible during the eclipse. This will also mark the 50 year anniversary of Hank Aaron eclipsing Babe Ruth for the all time home run record which occurred on April 8, 1974. Chicago is where Anton Lavey wrote and published the satanic Bible the same year Manson was born 1969. From Philly to Canton to Chicago equals exatly 666 miles. I figured this all out in Ft. Wayne Indiana which happens to be 333 miles as the crow flies from Metropolis Illinois., Supermans hometown. The creator of Superman George Seagal died on the Birdmans of Alcatrazes birthday January 28, 1996. The Birdman is buried in Metropolis illinoise as well. His grave is across from a John Kennedy and next to Kennedy is a couple named Jack and Ruby. The Birdnan died the day before JFK was assassinated. 333 has followed me my whole life and I finally figured our why. The eclipse also hits the United States at 1:27 pm my birthday the day before the Birdmans Birthday and the day after my wife's birthday.
