a'a lava flow on Makamae St around 10:30 am May 6,2018 speed of flow was about 3 acres (lots) per hour I saw one methane explosion and heard several other explosions.

I have to give it to the lady in green. She really is trying . They all did a great job. The lady with the light blue top and dark blue skirt is such a natural.
I was in Kona about 3 weeks ago and we stayed there at uncle Billy's. Loved it! It has character! The staff were friendly and the rooms although kinda 70"s and not fancy..the rooms were very clean!!! I will go again!!

Excavation contractors will have a lot of work clearing all the land covered by the 2014-2015 lava flow.
There wasn't any lava in Leilani 2014-15 but there are miles to clean up from the 2018 flow, including my home and several blocks worth

I am trying to learn Hawaiian chants in my Hula class and that is really hard. These students did great- especially because it is the first week of school and many are new to the school
