Actually, we, Indonesia, are not angry with coach Shin Tae Yong for losing to Japan, but we feel that the coach did not give the player Eliano Reinjders, the younger brother of AC MILAN player and also Dutch National Team player Tijani Reinjders, a chance to play twice, because he is already a player for the Indonesian National Team even though The federation has tried hard to naturalize Eliano Reinjders but he didn't play. The second one is about the China match where we should have been able to steal full points but because the coach changed the line tactics a lot and ended up failing to get points and even losing to China. which makes Indonesia at the bottom of the standings is a big loss even though the federation has provided facilities to the players that are as comfortable as possible after we go to Bahrain by chartering a plane so that the players can play optimally.

However, this phenomenon seems to be a great way to gain a lot of engagement, and many media outlets blew it out of proportion. It’s unfortunate that this situation happened. I think I watched an interview where Coach Shin mentioned that he was prepared to resign. I feel bad for him. As far as I know, qualifying for the World Cup was never his target, his goal was to reach a rank of 100. Personally, I think most of the criticism directed at him was kind of invalid, like focusing on trophies and similar things. I enjoyed the process and achievements he made as the coach of the Indonesian national team. However, the only criticism that makes sense to me is about the current results in the 3rd round being below target. Initially, we aimed to collect 15 points from 10 matches, but after the game against Japan, which marked the halfway point, we only had 3 points. This criticism is understandable, and I agree that the coach, staff, and players should evaluate themselves. It’s part of the process of fixing weaknesses and becoming stronger as a team. I’m glad that we won against Saudi Arabia, and those annoying people along with their clickbait content are starting to disappear. I hope Coach Shin can focus more on the upcoming matches in March without having to deal with these issues anymore. Thank you for providing so much information about this situation.
