Great work! How did you texture the molle straps? I see that their on the normal map( and not actual geometry), but how did you go about adding the fiber of the material and coloring it? It not like you can just add a texture onto the molle straps ( since its on the normal map).Did you paint the molle straps by hand in substance painter? Looks great.
Hi sorry for late reply. I just used substance painter to do that. A layer with one of the cloth textures masked out for where the straps are, then a height map to create the raised bits for the loops. Cheers

Yes this is actually me. I used multiple cameras and a remote to take pics of myself as a test. the expressions are from scans that I projected and wrapped across to my base head mesh and then made blend shapes from them. Then blended the skin textures to create a skin change with it. It's a quick proof-of-concept to test the process. I'm doing another character now for my web comic The Talos Project for chapter 2 and an animated trailer. Cheers

I used Photoscan, then Wrap3 and Zbrush to clean up and project across to my own mesh and create the blends. I might make some tutorials for the process soon.
