Great work I’m thinking about the same swap
@@89chevyboy95 a bmw 7 series or a ls swap with a cd009 tranny?
what canbuss are you using to keep interior functions
@@gingerwardwarf4022 everything still just works like it should I don't have no canbuss
@MrJoshyoung18 thank you so much. I start pulling my motor in a few days. And was worried about that.
@@gingerwardwarf4022 ya I've already had mine running with the junkyard harness and computer but now I have a holley terminator x I'll be installing but yes all the functions of the car worked just fine when I hooked up the battery I was surprised people told me it wouldn't work but it definitely did work lol
@@MrJoshyoung18 yeah thats what i keep getting told. im running a stand alone and all that so i was worried i would need to rewire everything
Thanks for the business and nice review, We offer the valve in the smaller 44mm version also
I will be possibly be getting a set of your 120lb injectors also and I plan on when I get my car back together I'll be posting a video of how the blow off valve sounds
Hmmm. Wonder how it will sound. Pretty massive.
@@canyou_heminow I just got the intercooler pipes welded together it looks good I can't wait to hear how it sounds I'm trying to finish this car as fast as I possibly can I literally just sold my motorcycle to fund the rest of the project 😅
@@MrJoshyoung18I’m here for the noise aftermath as well lol
@@RaulioG88 I will be posting what it sounds like soon I'm selling my motorcycle to hurry up and get the funds to finish the car
So did you ever block off the stock by pass/diverter valve located directly on the stock turbo? That's why you can't hear your bov making any noise in video #3 cause if it's working at all its only maybe working 40%! The mod you did is really only useful when changing turbos
How large are your couplers
Its cuz your shit is auto
Cool story bro this video is old as fuck
well everyone has their own way of doing things to their car i got FMI getting it lowered idk if goin bagged or coilovers but makes it look nice under hood also idk im a saab lover 4 life so i dont hate on nobody or the comments everyone has their opinions good luck ppls
Thats not an aero
How much did it cost u to boost ur cb7?
and just run the line from old bov on turbo but everyone different good look everyone
they sell a block off plate that u need to put on stock turbo where old bov is located then should work well I order one from amazon
3ric Medeiros can you attach link
Link?
It is warm air intake
Rip I wanted to do this but somehow I think something is failing in my saab and it just Turbo flutters by itself no modifications it’s a stock linear
you dont need to ziptie vacume hoses as the air is well a vacume
david worth lol you must have never had a car with a turbo then......
this car already has a diriveter valve fitted makes less noise but maintains boost
i have never seen a ziptie on a vacume hose on any car iv had as i never tried fitting a 2nd dump valve to one
ah i just thought if it is a t piece then you will need a ziptie on the bottom t piece only not any of the rest straight connectors
id probably have done some homework to see wich was the right vacume hose to use and wich one shuts off with deceleration and get a decent fitting silicone hose but hey thats just me
i will never put tha shit in my Saab 93 2.0t thas no no i love my Saab to doo thas junk i didt to my Mitsubishi all i have crazy trotto body and the iro.
I would have installed it before the intercooler so that the air in the intercooler keeps a bit of pressure on gearchange, that way it spools up quicker in the subsequent gear. Remember, a bov does nothing most of the time. It only helps the turbo get back to work faster after a gearshift or a let up of the throttle. (Improve throttle response.) The way youve done it, it could even pull air OUT of the throttle, making the turbo have to work even harder to compress the air now. Further, without knowing the properties of the vacum line you picked, you might be decompressing the air in the throttle even when it is open. Finding the right vacum line is key. And thats an idiotic place for a wastegate.
You cant just 'pick' a vacum line...you need one that is open when the throttle is shut. And your intake gives you -3 to -5 hp from stock air box (yes, negative 3 to 5) congrats.
Marshall Taylor cool story bro
you shouldve test driven to the gas station to fill her up 😂
The float sensor is bad.
we're did you get the bov from
Woah, On a stock F22A1? Nice, Did you upgrade the lower end before adding the turbo? XD
Im sorry to ruin everyones day on a BOV but I finally got my Saab and the last thing u wanna do is install one of these.... like I said in a prior comment, you dont just pick and tap the vac lines based on thickness... u need to know which one closes under acceleration. secondly the car has a check valve.... which makes the "woosh" sound... even the air box mod is a bad idea... stock box with drop in k&n is the way to go. real numbers show when u do ecu tuning... cat less exhaust system tuneable aftermarket icm We all love the sound... just not all cars sound the same...
That's nice it's perfectly acceptable to feel that way
This is a 2004 areo
Mine Accelerate way faster than that 2005 Arc
You can only have one you have to block off the stock diverter valve for this to work
you now have a diverter valve and a blow off valve
It's a 2 inch pipe
Hey josh if ur still available then could u plz let me know the name and sizes of those red pipes u attached with the stock pipe ? And also the metal elbow thing .. Thanks
bsr is way over priced and I sold the car a week after I made this video
The reason it isn't loud is because of the rpm regulation. The pressure built by the amount of boost is regulated with an automatic which is why Saab provides the sport or manual shifter. There you will find that boosting the vehicle produces pressure build up at higher rpms. The woosh noise is easily achieved by the intake alone if you buy a BSR.
people did you disconnect the self recirculating dump valve on the turbo..cos if like mine it got one fitted.you wont get the full pressure to the new one
You need a bypass valve block off plate it's the same as a srt4 dodge neon look on ebay you'll find one
I had mention the exact thing on his first video I ordered mine on amazon but some ppl don't have the common sense lol SAAB-LIFE
i just install a type rs on mine and is not making any sound or at least is super quiet dont know what else to do ? i want it to be loud
You cant put a bov on a T7 engine which is the 2000-2003 models. This car u can but i heard its bad because it has a stock recirculating valve somewhere which means it needs a divert valve or something like that... Anybody know the right way to do this?
3:40...the time when you could ACTUALLY use a selfie stick
Will this work on my 95 900 se turbo? What's it called if so and how much?
How did it work our cuzz u cant just "tap" any vaccum line... u need to see a repair manual for the return vac line and tap that 1. Lol not just any line. Im just sayin.... im buyin 1 too
It's not loud because it's an automatic, I have the same car only an 06 and brand new with a catback and it's stick and my blow off valve is crazy loud
Andrew Wolford What kind of catback do you have? I've been looking for one for my 06 9-3
Andrew Wolford Actually just adding a cone filter makes it louder. I have an automatic and it's much louder with just the adapter, 30 degree elbow, and cone filter. He should have added a larger diverter valve and also invest in a 3" down pipe and an ECU tune stage 1 or 2.
I have a full 3" catback, custom fabricated
Hi do you still have Facebook I just bought a saab aero and wanna put a bov on it just wanna double check what I need and what sizes thanks
Can I know what kind of parts you got??
rubbish
Zach Stiller knows nothing.
Where can I buy this bov kit? And how do you get new fittings so it won't be factory?
Actually the car still running and driving every once and a while just put a new gt30 turbo on it its my second car
Where are you from? im from dayton ohio if your from there then its possible it was my car you seen
Got rid of the car sold it for $5000
...sure you did. Asser...
its not loud because you have a circulator valve on the original factory fitting... see my comment on video one reason why I said there is no point in blow off with the standard fittings
So how do you fit a bov on a Saab vector 93 and have you a picture I can follow to install please
what's the point in putting on a blow off when the turbo has a re-circulating valve?? I have same car as you...
The Geekazoid Yea he needs to install a diverter valve not a blow off.
+The Geekazoid the point is, he wants to hear the sound. But in cars with mass air flow meters, this will cause higher milage and maybe an error.
This guy seems to have no idea what he is doing.. on modern cars there are already dump valves.. but they are known as recirculating dump valves.. if you want that "cool" sound you REPLACE the existing one with a hybrid dump valve which is both recirculating and open at the same time.. this donk now have 2 dump valves in his car.. one open and one recirculating.. why the recirculation is necessary on modern cars is because the airflow measurement system is there to calculate the right amount of fuel and air mixture.. if you put a straight open dump valve on a modern car chances are pretty big it will indicate that something is wrong due to pressure loss.. and your check engine light will turn on and if you are really unlucky your airflow measurement system will also brake and are not the cheapest to replace !
more noise and also more spool up time double fail more attention than power gain. then the car doesnt go anywhere fast and just makes lots of noise typical chav mod
@@REDxFROG you can hear the sound from a diverter valve with a cold air intake.
Whats the update? You finished and still drive it?
have you to disconnect the bybass valve dorigin to off install the blow which sound the procedure has follows to install the blow off thank you
