In honor of mental illness awareness week, I wanted to make a video of comments you shouldn't say to people with mental illness. Are there any others you've heard that should be added to the list? Remember this channel is a personal project where I advocate for mental health. Please keep it a safe and supportive space. Thanks for watching!

My Mental Health Journey - An Overview
LOL Especially now that it’s apple picking season.
Alot of cartoon characters are bipolar
I've been doing this my entire life. I'm 32 now and just had my 4th baby 6 months ago and I've been questioning if i have undiagnosed ocd and/or adhd ...
@@lornabaez3803 it wouldn’t hurt to ask your doctor.
pump bottles are the best, i have it for everything even for the dish soap on the kitchen, i don´t use a dishwasher so.
I just have dreams written down that make no sense
How do you get over the embarrassment of pooping in public or around other people?
@@oliviawilliams275 I don’t lol. I mean at home with my husband and daughter, they know the drill and I’m comfortable with them. With close friends, they know the drill as well and understand if I disappear for a while or have to cancel bc of a flare up.
Omg, I do the same and I’ve never figured why, coz while choosing I’d see something neutral and think it’s cute, but still buy the bright option! I also have adhd and lose my stuff all the time, so that tracks
I dream to be a minimalist but yea it doesn’t work for adhd
why does this mean u hv adhd? just sounds like ur bored and annoyed
I hate parties
God I'm paraplegic but thank the lord my mind is intact
You may actually be high functioning autistic and have adhd as a symptom rather than your main diagnosis.
Exactly what I was thinking. I have ADHD and I can handle it.
im autistic and i have adhd💀😭💀

0:53 I have ADHD too and the inattentive form. As an adult, I would not do that. I mean, if my partner said she was laid off, I would worry about them. I could understand that only if you never faced insecurity at work yourself.
This is me too, we have a lot in common. I was recently diagnosed a few weeks ago and it only surfaced because my son is exhibiting the same behaviors that you described. The mouth noises, the overthinking, the issues with decision making, not making eye contact while listening etc. it’s eye opening for sure
It is! I’m happy you are figuring it all out too.
