I went to the banff film festival a while back, and I saw this. It was my favourite part of the whole thing. I saw some tandem bike riders today and decided to see if I could find this video. I was overjoyed when I saw this.

Just saw this at BMFF in sunny Encinitas CA and immediately sent it to my x-c skiing sister in Alaska. I hope she’ll sign up with me for the first female tandem ski next year! This was brilliant. Worth watching twice in one night.

I was wondering what kind og "Birken" this was when I saw ppl skating, then I saw the bib reading American Birkebeiner I immediately understood more. I dont understand why some do waddle around on skis trying ty skate when theyre obviously not even close. Classic is so much more energy consuming, if you dont know skating. Edit; Creds for doing this so "effortlessly". It was fun to watch.

I didn't have the joy of spotting you guys unfortunately, but I was one of those skaters stepping on poles and trashing the classic tracks last year. Don't hate me! The Birkie track is so narrow, I've never seen anything like it in a race. 1 part skiing and 2 parts rugby. This edit was excellent on so many levels, not the least was bringing back so many memories from my time at the Birkie. I shopped at Pioneer Midwest, did my wax check at Hyland Reserve, and asked a pimply-faced kid working a gas station in Spooner, WI "I hear Spooner blows, it that true?". He lowered his eyes and mumbled "yeah, it kind of blows". Congratulations on your win!

This video is just the best! My husband I tried tandem skis today and it was difficult, to say the least. My hat is off to you guys going the distance on them. So much fun to watch this!

Attended the Banff Mountain Film Festival last two nights here in Duluth. You guys killed it! This was definitely a crowd favorite this year. Very fun.

I almost walked out on this film at the Banff Film festival. Feeling sick and tired and I was thinking this is the dumbest thing I will ever see, like what are they going to do? Pole for 50 kms? I stayed 2 mins too long, and have not laughed so hard in way too long. I am sharing this with all of my skiing buddies, THANK YOU!

Just watched this at the local showing of the Banff Mountain Film Festival. This comedic documentary has everything from the struggle against amateur bureaucracy to comments on punctuation. Love it!

Great production. Gordy Backmann and I did it tandem back in the 90's. I ?think? we were the third ones to do it then. It snowed almost the entire race (south to north that year) and was a total death march. You guys actually skied it, ours was more of a trudge fest. Well done guys.
