Mission: Founded in 2012, Charlotte New Music (CNM) promotes the creation and performance of contemporary music in Charlotte and beyond.
About: Charlotte New Music has come a long way to provide a space for creation, performance, and education of contemporary music for local, national, and international composers, musicians, and songwriters. CNM’s primary disciplines are in contemporary classical, modern, avant garde, experimental, sound art and electronics.
CMN provides services such as the annual international Charlotte New Music Festival, a monthly Open Mic, Workshops, a weekly online show “The Current”, Consulting, and Fundraiser events. A lot of this is fantastic for meditation for me. I get bored with most of RUclips's meditation music but this kind of jazz has the same vibe with more advanced playing. Much more interesting to me. Excellent music!
