0:18 an outcast
Ive only ever seen an XRN Once! And there still around!
8242 was on a light loco with LDP004, thought it had gotten repainted
At the rate they’re going, UGL’s next locomotive is gonna have a tender because of how big the radiators are!
XRN014 aint looking so good, sitting at UGL, part of the engine gone
@@NSWfreightspottingVideos wow, I haven’t heard about that one, thanks for the update.
You can almost smell the coal....
Noticed a new SSR grain on the new ARTC master train plan documents, train no. 9573
@@NSWtrainspottingvideos well spotted, I have not seen anything myself as of yet, have to wait and see what that is all about.
It sounds even quieter than the Class 93
@@BagusWidyanto_HappyIn1997 they are quiet, it will be interesting to hear them once they are under a load with a train.
With new trains like this, push the 90 class out of the coal operations
@@NSWtrainspottingvideos unfortunately it could spell the end to a few classes of locos including the 90’s, AN’s, DL’s & quiet possible to see some 81’s. However nothing is set in stone.
We’ve been waiting for this
@@SouthTrainsAndPlanes definitely been a tease seeing them at UGL for a few months, nice to see them hit the rails.
Really want to get down and see the 90s before they are gone for ever.
wow very nice.
@@EOL76678 thank you.
Imagine this expect its 5 90 classes
Wouldn’t that be amazing!!
0:12 the no canopies kill me internally, (how come they are removed)
Havent seen many of these RHHH, RHFH, NHRH, (batwing hoppers) around recently. Would you say they are stored up in Dartbrook?
@@NSWtrainspottingvideos I haven’t spotted them for a while myself, however i’m not to sure on the on current location as to where those wagons are.
very nice
@@EOL76678 thanks, glad you enjoyed the video.
Arent there protests blocking trains and bringing trains to a halt
very nice
I noticed that these LDP' s had been allocated to the coal sector now since they had last been on NR freighters & steel trains in the past. it is just now they had been moved down to the hunter for workings on coal, believed to be replacing some of older 90 class that's now been in storage for the foreseeable future. with the LDP' being more modern for their work, its allowed some of those units to be given priority for class units to work on coal, among the 93 class/TT'S and still active other working 90 class that's still on coal haulage service down in the hunter.
wow very nice 82 class grainy.
pacific national/Aurizon/Crawfords/Rail first/SSR/Fletchers/Qube. have all got these locomotives. they are built from the UGL manufacturing facility in broadmeadows & is based on the NR class but with few new modifications that is different from the NR class. like for example they have the gills on the back on each end & new front railings at front of the crew cabs just outside the doors. because you can only tell the difference because these ones are a bit upper as the standard NR versions are straight. it is said that pacific national is getting a newer 94 class that is the samer look as these ones but is classed as 94. & it will come more with a much more newer evolution engine that is much newer for this class. it is suppose to be delivered somewhere around in this year. but no 94 class is yet delivered but is due for delivery for pacific national at any stage.
very nice
Good to see some "90" class action, and in the original colour scheme of FreightCorp. I heard some of the "90" class have been withdrawn and laid up?
@dieseldavetrains8988, it sure is a nice sight to see them. You would be correct, there are several stored at Kooragang and Morandoo as far as I believe, not sure on the exact numbers in total.
@@Modernsteeltrains90belive 9001, 9002, 9004, 9006, 9007, 9010, 9013, 9014, 9016, 9017, 9021 (Cardiff), 9022, 9023 are out of action right now
@@NSWtrainspottingvideos thanks for the update, such a shame to see them parked up.
@@Modernsteeltrains90 apparently 9011 is operational but im starting to doubt that as i havent seen any videos featuring that loco in a while, perhaps maybe at Greta TSF or getting maintained somewhere
these are the nice famous two Indian pacific & ghan NR' S joining the Pacific national Nr doing freight duties. it is quite an interesting conbination
It is very nice to see them both working together, made it worth while to get them whilst standing in the pouring rain.
@@Modernsteeltrains90 oh yep. & I also recently noticed that the new great southern NR's also got to some freight work too. but most NR's are still owned by pacific national but are leased to operate on these type of passenger travel services like the Indian Pacific/ the ghan/ the overland & great southern. plus often pacific national NR often get used on Indian pacific & the overland aswell most of the time. their the ex Australian Rail unit loco's.
The Great Southern locos will stay on freight until around the end of November this year, as the Great Southern Passenger train only runs during the summer. As for the NR’s, I guess it really doesn’t matter what livery they wear at the end of the day, for PN they are still a viable freight loco and if that’s what is in the depot to make up a train, then that’s what they’ll use, much to the excitement of us gunzels.
these locomotives sounds great. i really like their horsepower it is really impressive.
Great video
Thanks Mate, glad you enjoyed it 👍
@@Modernsteeltrains90 yes
These my favorite pacific national class.
Their quite an interesting trio of the RL class and the BRM's
So LDP’s are on coal trains now?
That is correct mate, all 9 of them are now on coal, as well as the four intermodal 93 class (9321-24)
Wow very nice. That is the first time I have seen the LDP's being used in the hunter valley on this coal service.
It sure is a mixture of locos and they have been on these services for a few months now, all 9 of them can be seen running around on several coal trains
@@Modernsteeltrains90 the LDP's used to belong to qr national in the past but has since been with Pacific national & progress rail. Plus SCT/Whitehaven coal & SSR/ONE rail have all got these exclusive locomotives. it's a good use they put them on. with so many jobs from freight/steel/ limestone/cement/coal. plus this year aswell I seen qube had got their brand new QE,class & some more new SRS classes aswell this year. these TT class & LDP design is so popular
wow very nice
it is very common to see the off duty ghan Nr's being put to freight work most of the time. because they often get rostered on the ghan passenger service then freight. & pacific national is the leading freight operator that provides these locomotives NR's on the great southern rail services including the Indian Pacific/the ghan & the great southern plus the overland.
this is really nice Nr freighter coming through
wow very nice
Thanks, glad you enjoy it.
Some of them wagons are nice n buckled....
They definitely are, never really paid attention to that whilst videoing.
DARRENR 🏠 have OK yes ❤LOVE
Good to see the AN class on the move. Adds some variety on the freight workings!!
Great video! New subscriber!
@CoenOinkeyTrains thank you, glad you enjoyed the video 👍
Coal carridges seem to be higher now!...🤔
Amazing Clips... Wish i could find a good sound file for me C43/44s....
They have a real whine about them dont they.... And they dont sound as rough as the American engines....
Thanks Mate, I think we will have to wait until Auscision bring out the C43/44 re-runs. However I do know what you mean about the whine, I believe they are muffled compared to the US locos and the traction motors cause a lot of the whine too.
Ive just bought 9215 in HO scale... very cool.
Nice meet! Iv'e shot from that bridge a few times during my trips to Maitland! Spent some time on the platform too, a great place to railfan! Gregg 🙂
@FishplateFilms Thanks, it is one of my all time favourite locations to film. I also like the variety of trains that pass through this location. Appreciate you taking the time to comment! Dan
Nice layout, subscribed. 👍
@ShipCreekRailway thanks mate, glad you enjoy the video & I appreciate it 👍
Where did the RL class come from?
@user-ww8sh9fr2y it is a brass shell with an Athern Mech under neath. I wired it to an On Track Models motherboard to allow a DCC chip to be installed.
Nice to see freight trains running side by side. I have subscribed to your channel. 😄👍
