Travelling Planet Earth
Австралия
Добавлен 30 авг 2021
When we set out in 2024 our travel ethos was this; Imagine if you searched the top ten sights to see in every country in the world, threw in each major gallery & museum, added unique natural Unesco sites and significant national parks, included heritage listed buildings and isolated natural destinations, and made that your long term, slow time travel plan. You wrote about each destination, the stories of local people you met every day, about real food experiences, local markets and on occasions even high tea, you travelled wherever possible in your own vehicle but took local transport in city as much as possible, photographed the blue hour every morning and night, completed a project of a daily shot titled one day one face, there would be so many possibilities. Imagine #travellingplanetearth.com
Bali Food 101: A Beginner’s Guide
Welcome to Travelling Planet Earth’s newest episode: Bali Food 101: A Beginner’s Guide 🍴🌴 If you’re new to Bali or just craving a taste of nostalgia from your last trip, this one’s for you. Think Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Gado Satay and maybe a little Warung food, plus all those tropical flavours that scream Bali holiday vibes. This isn’t about daring food adventures or street-side mystery bites (we’ll save that for another episode). Nope, this time we’re taking it easy, sticking to proper tourist warungs and restaurants where the food is fantastic, and you know exactly what you’re getting.
Why? Because before you dive headfirst into fish head soup or fiery sambals, it’s good to get acquai...

The food at at Mona Lisa looks fantastic!
It certainly does and is my go to place in Sanur
Excellent job, Scott. Left me feeling hungry, yet again. Quote of the Season: 'It's a tough job.' 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks @awlmediaservices. That quote may be subjective
I think it's best choice boss
Yes, Indonesian food has flavour and depth. And with so many regions there is always a local specialty. So many choices. I am looking forward to travelling and filming Java and Sumatra next year.
But love Sanur
Its one of our favourite travel places. Our go to place for relaxation
Got sick on not fully cooked eggs
It can happen. anywhere - Ive had the odd piece of seafood/meat get me here and there, especially those ones sitting in the market suns - The joys of travel
How good!
Thanks @sarahlindus1483 - Looking forward to your Chaotic Adventures one day
Another great vid Scott. I'm getting bloody hungry now! Nothing wrong with a bit of day drinking 🤣🍻👌👌. If you could leave the food description up on the screen for an extra few seconds, that would be awesome. Cheers
Thanks Simon and Lene. My wife also said I should extend the description in future 🤣. Bali has been a good training run with Editing. Heading to Vietnam for 12 weeks so hoping to up the game from next week
@travellingplanetearth1 nice one guys. Have a great time in Vietnam. Make sure you do the train trip between DaNang and Hue. Awesome scenery in either direction. Cheers
I’m now very hungry for something spicy with rice.
Hope you enjoyed the Episode Kristen - Im heading to Vietnam tomorrow so the spice episodes will continue ...
Nice video
Thanks - More to come from Bali then hopefully Java and Sumatra next year
Nasi campur bali so delicious 🤤
Nasi Campur is great Nyoman But Bakso is my favourite 🤣
When you ordered nasi campur in a Padang Shop, the veggies are complimentary with the rice. So don't miss on the veggies and be sure to ask for it, say yes if the shopkeeper say "sayur".
Great advice @ThatDruidDude - I will keep that in mind
Great food reviews man..yes rendang is Indonesia secret weapon ..top notch dish from west Sumatra region ..for other great taste Indonesian food just watch mark wiens Indonesian series..
I cannot wait to travel Sumatra next year and experience all it has to offer - M.Wiens is awesome on food
Hi Scott, Just saw your vid on a youtube recommendation. Great video mate, awesome intro and great info on the video and in the description. You know your stuff with food, which is cool. I can tell that you have invested a lot of time in making these videos and wish you all the best for the channel. Nice one, Cheers Simon
Thank you @Get-A-Life (Simon) - Just starting off but trying to put 100% into it from the start.
Ps. Heading to Vietnam next week for three months so just subscribed to your channel for some tips
@travellingplanetearth1 good job so far Scott. Looks pretty schmick!👌👌👌
great video, everything is explained in details! greetings from Jakarta
Thankyou for watching @stephenhalim3192 - I am looking forward to visiting Sumatra and Java mid 2025 and spending some time experiencing Jakarta
Excellent Episode! Loved the food tour. And, yes, it is almost 1am here ...and I am, now, very hungry. 🤣
Thanks @awlmediaservices - A little bit of a direction change and the future will have a lot more food (plus local attractions)
I need to start a T-Shirt range with this weeks classics "Spice is Good", "Sambal is Good" and my favourite "Nicey Spicy" 🙂
Great content, look forward to following your adventures. Nice meeting you both in Sanur.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy the Bali series, lots more to come!
Ubud is soul of bali
It is @hariopamungkas3746 - One of my favourite places on this planet.
Your friends seem lovely. I HAVE Liked and Subscribed. 😂
They are! And very happy to do the Like and Subscribe bit
😊👍
Thanks @awlmediaservices
😊👍
Thanks @awlmediaservices. A little bit different style for episode 3 and just 15 minutes. Looking forward to monkeys, rice fields and ceremonies in Ubud next (and hopefully not much more about erupting volcanoes as is the case at the moment)
@@travellingplanetearth1 I liked the 15 minutes. Was very crisp. Did you cause the eruption? You tend to upset the World, wherever you go. Also, a few more 'step' Episodes like that and you'll be ready for an IronMan Crown. 😊🐒
Very enjoyable, Scott and Lynn. Looking forward to more!
Thank you Wayne - Looking forward to Nusa Penida Bali Next
Once again well done, they really are enjoyable to watch. Tejakula might just get a visit from us next trip.😊
Thanks David, I think you would enjoy it Ps.. Just got back from doing a double at Manta Point and Crystal Bay at Penida. Big swell/current and low visibility but still plenty of close up Manta's (pity I don't have a 30m Gopro housing - Yet)
Excellent introduction to your Journey. Very keen to see more. Congratulations! All the best.
Thank you so much! @awlmediaservices - More to come, hope you enjoy
well done, very easy to watch keep them coming.
Thanks 👍 @Davywatts - Next one in a week on Tejakula - Hopefully they will get better each time
