Tbh as someone who grew up with a grandma whos bday fell right around/on mother's day, i totally see his perspective on it. My grandma always felt dismissed when people would combine the two holidays, similar to people born around Christmas. You want to have a celebration that focuses on yourself for your bday, whereas fathers/mothers day is about your contribution to your children. Both totally valid, but definitely different. And its something you dont really think about until it happens, this is only his 2nd or 3rd fathers day i think? So i can see why it popped up now. You dont know until you know. I think its just bc this came after so many other clips that it became as big of a deal as it was, and people only seeing a part of the clip, not the whole context. I have my own personal gripes with matt, but in this particular case, i can see where hes coming from.

Just as a tid bit as someone with an ADHD diagnosis. How you react to medication is very patient dependent. It’s super common for ADHD patients to forget their meds, so getting off meds cold turkey actually happens a lot. From my own personal experience, I forgot to take meds for a week and then didn’t have access to my meds for almost a year due to a shortage and then insurance issues. I never had symptoms like a drug addict because of this. Granted my dose isn’t very high, but most of my loved ones with ADHD have had very similar experiences. Medications work differently in neurodivergent patients than neurotypicals as well. Listen and trust your doctor! They will have the most well informed opinion most likely, and will know your medical history to gauge what is right for you.

What is so very telling is how many males support and defend him and his behavior. The thing that gets me is he goes on a dating show insisting that he is looking for a woman who isnt promiscuous and has a career of her own ( and presumably no criminal record). He is a convicted felon who has a history of pimping , domestic violence and sexual assault yet he wants a non promiscuous woman. THAT is male entitlement and bottom dweller behavior at its finest. They feel entitled to any woman they want. Notice how he isnt looking for a reformed hooker- which would be more in line with what he has to offer. The lack of emotional maturity and accountability for one’s personal choices is certainly not surprising. Im relieved that most of the women on that dating show panel smelled a rat. This is why he was so defensive and hostile ( and trying to pass the shade he threw at them off as ‘giving his opinion’).
