Well it’s a straw man joke… but a lot of atheist are more scientific minded, a lot of people will feel blessed by their god & when the atheist say “how do you know” all in different religions resort to the same thing that they think has answers. Atheist are very likely to say “I don’t know” while religious people will say “I don’t know but I know it’s because this, so you have to believe” when we have absolutely no evidence of god itself but we always create it in our image going way back when mythologies were once religions…

I’m not an atheist but being I’m an agnostic, I do lean on their side while religions fight with each other on who’s right

@@S3.14codm It’s a strawman joke… But not one of them corrected it. The "I don’t know" is really them coping, what a God-believer would truly say is "I don’t know, but I will research it". Athëists don’t like research very much, because the may go against their arguments or standpoints, which is why they rely on free-thinking so much. They don’t even have a Bible to validate everything they say like how religious people do. Athëists claim that "there is no evidence in any gods" but it took them zero logic/reason and zero proof/evidence to get all of them to fall for the plot hole that the universe came from nothing.

@@KenMasters. “atheist don’t like research” I generalize religion because they all go by a book, because they are to follow a book… but what you did was generalize something that’s not even a world view, and you’re wrong… majority of atheist are more skeptic than religious and studies show that they are more likely to become scientists because they love research

@GregDefendingTheFaith I understand that a high stakes macrobelief like this is one where a hole in one part does not cause it to collapse. However, let's not pretend that the reason stated for caring about when the stories began showing up is specifically to combat the idea of legends and lies. To that end, the early authorship fails, which means one should not use that part of the argument any more. Habermas is a good example of someone who understands this. Earlier versions of his minimal facts argument included the empty tomb. More recent versions do not. Why? Because the evidence of an empty tomb is not as strong as he once thought. In the same way, the idea that early authorship prevents legends and lies should be a discarded argument.

@@lhvinny oh I would disagree with that actually. Who said the Empty Tomb was disregarded? MOST scholars attest to that. Gary Habermas did not leave it out. He was only referencing 6 Points to make it more concise. But really, most scholars agree.
