Okay so this really encouraged me because I’m really out of shape/heart rate spikes/heavy breathing when I run and I want to get better at it. But I always thought I had to just run more for longer periods of time and thats exhausting so I never kept it up. But hearing you say it’s okay to start with literally just a minute at a time really helps me! Thank you so much!❤ have a beautiful day everyone!

Thanks for that, I appreciate it, glad you enjoy watching my videos!! My watch is the Garmin Forerunner 265. I only just got it a couple of weeks ago but I already love it!! Perfect for running and tracking your pace ETC but also been loving all the recovery and sleep aspects of it too. Battery has been lasting me around 6-7 days depends on what I'm doing!

I will most likely have some cereal and yoghurt when I first wake up and then some sourdough bread and electrolytes an hour before

hey, i just "accidentally" got into running recently as an excuse to go into the forest with my dog - walking bores me. but not the classical "runner's build" - more suited for chopping wood. but really enjoy it, thing is i've been running 3-4 times a week between 40 - 60 minutes each session, and aside from my tibia's always being cramped up i find that i'm not really getting any fitter? is this just normal at 38 yo? am i possible under/over-training? how do you approach training to also become more fit slowly over time? thanks
Hey thanks for the comment!! That’s awesome, it’s a good thing to accidentally do! In my opinion it could be a number of things but you can definitely get fitter at 38! One thing this could be is your heart rate during those runs might be too high therefore you may be running in zone 3 or 4 and not building you aerobic base. If that’s the case I would either run nice and slow so you can keep your heart rate low or a run walk where you run for say 1 minute and walk for 1 minute. Then build that up over time. Hope that helps! You will be getting fitter it just takes time! Sometimes we have to look at where we started 💪

@@camwoolleyy yoooo i just wanted to let you know that 2 weeks later and i can already tell a HUGE difference! i think my issue was i was literally always in zone 3 - 4. i naturally have this idea that if i was not getting fitter i'm not pushing hard enough. zone 2 has been an absolute revelation. also the fitbit was junk (HR jumping all over the place) so i just invested in a garmin watch and chest strap, soooo worth it. ok yeah just wanted to let you know you really gave me the right advice and opened some doors. keep well!
