If you don't follow the film festivals in Sofia, it's difficult to know who is coming to visit us..
Just notice these are the only ones left of the main cast (+Yvette, Maria, Michelle, the pilots and the original Bertorelli). Half of the bunch is no more. Not only respect to these brilliant actors, but also to the brilliant ones who passed away... René (Gordon) Edith (Carmen) All of the Leclercs (Jack, Derek, Robin) Madame Fanny (Rose) Colonel Von Strohm (Richard) General Von Klinkerhoffen (Hillary) Captain Geering (Sam) Von Schmallhausen (John Louis) Monsieur Alphonse (Kenneth) They made us laugh in a world that could use more of that :).
At the time the video was taken Réne was still alive but he was seriously ill. Unfortunately I couldn't meet him. To be honest I am truly grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with the cast! Respect to all of them!
Herr Flick still looks the same. He didn't age at all.

so funny! Helga is still so beautiful, and Lieutenant Gruber still so funny, but Herr Flick steals this compilation. The audience loves it - do they have Allo, Allo! in Bulgaria? It must be impossible to do some of it, particularly Officer Crabtree the English Policeman, in any other language...
+Robert, yes, we have it dubbed in Bulgarian and it is almost as good as the original. We had a great time with the actors that night, it was amazing, have rarely laughed so hard...
That must be a major achievement by the translators. The show appears so simple but in the very first couple of episodes the writers are at great pains to explain that the silly accent means a different language and the English airmen cannot understand the Resistance worker until she switches language "I say, chaps...." It would never be made today!
today people enjoy other type of humour.. this show could be considered politically incorrect and offensive in many ways...
