Добавлен 1 дек 2023
And Now The Band is a podcast that talks with musicians, engineers, producers, bands and just about anyone in the recording industry. Hosted by a fan of music from all different genres.
EP 165 Voidward
Greg of Voidward discussed the band's evolution since its inception in 2013, highlighting the transition from a solo project to a band with Noah Kessler and Alec Farrell. They recorded their 2022 album in 2019 but released it in 2022 due to COVID-19 delays. Greg mentioned recording 11 versions of "The Plowman" and experimenting with different recording techniques. He also discussed the concept of a "micro album" and "macro single" to challenge traditional album formats. Future plans include releasing a new full-length album and potentially touring. Greg emphasized the importance of having fun and the flexibility in the music industry.

Nah Melvins open for EHG
It’s good they got a SINGER 😂 Did he had a name? 😂😂😂
Jayway?
How’d the merch look? And what did they play for CC covers?
@@jeffarmstrong79 the merch was 3 t-shirts, a bag, 2 vinyl signed by chris, guitar pics and stickers.
They played Hammer Smashed Face
How was chris Barnes vocals?

Any link to the six feet under footage?

See y’all soon. Stoked!
It's gonna be a great time!
I found this via an article regarding Paul being vegetarian. And I began listening to c.c when I was 13 and was gifted the bleeding by a local heavy metal singer in my small town. Knowing Paul stopped eating meat 22 yrs ago for the simple reason of not taking part in the industry of animals being killed is a huge inspiration for me. I've been trying to be a vegetarian for 10 yrs. And I slide over alot...but its only bc I eat so little food and live in such poverty I do not have any choice at times. But ppl like Paul and arch enemy and carcass inspire me to be a better musician and vegetarian!
Thanks for coming to check it out. Make the choice that suits you. It’s cool to be yourself whatever it is.
Thanks for having me!

Some Americans, sure. It's not everyone though.
Bravissimo ! Vegan power ! k
This is why our country isn't very "walkable" like yeah it's not as pretty as Europe, but it's a two hour walk to the grocery store out here. Just doesn't make sense to put all that effort into making the sidewalks accessible and appealing when nobody will use them.
@@sarapickard7634 some cities are better than others. There definitely no walking when you live in the sticks though

The support comes from within yourself... If you truly want to change you don't do it with the support of others and you don't do it for others you do it for yourself and you support yourself. Maybe you need some medication to help you get you on your way but it's not like the doctor's going to take you down that path.. you have to take yourself down that path and choose it willfully and mean it deep down inside of yourself that you truly want to change and if not then don't waste everybody's f****** time
@@Jonnygurudesigns if someone wants to change, it is absolutely up to them. The support is super nice to have, knowing people will go along with whatever journey you’re on.
Music is like a cigarette..... It's a short-term solution for a much deeper problem.. I've lived off of death Metal since I was a teenager and without it I'm pretty sure I would have lost my self a very long time ago.. I would have lost control.. you know it helped with depression? I hate to say it but I got some antidepressants 3 months ago and I'll tell you what I'm absolutely beaming throughout my day.. it's night and day.. before I was ready to stab somebody at work and now I'm full of laughter and jokes.. I feel much more at peace.. I told the doctor I want these for a very long time and she said people that take these take them for the rest of their lives and I said yeah I'm okay with that.. going back to the way I was before was just a cycle and circle of negativity that I just simply couldn't fix on my own and drugs were not helping.
@@Jonnygurudesigns that’s awesome you found the thing that gets you to that place. A lot of people won’t take the time to actually get out and seek the assistance. Keep that shit up dude!
Big Wreck is criminally underrated. Ian Thornley is a guitar god.
There are so many underrated bands and musicians. Who else is on your list?
Mob Rules and Heaven and Hell were way better than Never Say Die and Technical Ectasy, but Black Sabbath and Paranoid are Black Sabbath's best Albums.
Have to agree with you there!

Slayer > Lamb of God
@@chrisrageNJ I think we all love Slayer. Lamb of God still has a tremendous live show that doesn’t disappoint. Slayers show doesn’t disappoint either
@AndNowTheBand I saw them both at the same show and they were both good, but Slayer is just the GOAT
@ Slayer definitely has much more history behind them. No shade to either of them, they’re great live
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Damn Eyehategod and Melvins would be tight.
Absolute ripper of a tour that would be!
Nice Foos Gone Wild shirt
I've worked very close with Carlos on the headbangers boat 2023 and 2024. Hell of a guy. Gave me stickers and picks for helping pack up his gear every night.
It's pretty amazing what happens when you're willing to lend a hand. See you on the boat next year?

@@Myrah77 awesome! What has been your favorite experience with them?
LAMB OF GOD DUDE REPPIN THE FOO'S🤯 HOW COOL IS THAT🤔⁉️💥💯 #GROOVY
@@capitolc4430 as it should be. The techs are definitely a part of the band that the public doesn’t necessarily think about. A great band has great techs
The boat was absolutely insane. I had a religious experience, and it was called Lamb of God. Stand outs were UnityTX and Frozen Soul
@@sir_mattimus7069 agreed. Frozen Soul absolutely slammed, like always
I second guess EVERYONE because people are all a bunch of hacks. Thats a fact
@@jeremiahfiek5495 most people I would agree with. Not everyone though
@AndNowTheBand ive got major trust issues because on top of people being hacks, IF THEY CAN EVEN DO ANYTHING, we get lied to all through school, get lied to at church, then get lied to by the government and the news, now you go to the doctor and get lied to and not helped because everything has to be Covidiot-19. Im fkn over it. I trust VERY FEW people and even thats questionable at times. Lol. Rant over. Lol
I watched it on a background and I thought it’s Heisenberg voice speaking about brewing a beer now. Breaking good. Really similar voices
@@SilviusdePrater_VOX_43ab that’s hilarious! Copyright that show idea haha
I never understood the point of NA beers. Real beer isn’t that great to begin with but if you drink enough you’ll at least forget it isn’t great. There’s no amount of drinking NA beers to forget how shitty they are.
@@dgarri8087 I think NA beers offer someone a solution that doesn’t necessarily want to feel left out of the party or that they actually enjoy drinking beer. I’ve tried a couple of NA beers and haven’t found a good fit. So far, I’m not a fan but I’m willing to try the Ghost Walker because I like an IPA
I love the taste of hops but don’t like drinking. There you go. There’s the point.
You fucking liar. The last time you saw l.o.g. was 2023 at The Ruoff in Indiana when they opened for Pantera. Oh wait. Nevermind. 😂
And who r u?
The band is Lifesick. They’re a sweet hardcore band from Denmark that is working with Metal Blade
Metal has become so warn out in the Information age. All the mystery that made the genre so fascinating is utterly gone.
@@Pelham1538 I can appreciate your opinion on that. I adore metal, even in current times. It’s much easier to find fantastic bands and the quality of musicians seems to be getting better and better.
Jesus loves you
