The billing off-road show 2023 - lakeside course and walk-around
did you take this to Billing and LRO? If so - we saw it. Sounds insane!
am in middle of doing mine at min in my 1980 double cab lots of challenges got engine position issues old 300 gearbox crossmember is too low as its out of a disco not sure if they diffrent to defender one but my transfer box is an inch too low so gonna remove it tomorrow and raise it up and inch to get engine level then make the engine mounts they are half done now lol all fun
A great video - and thank you for the mention. No doubt see you next year 🙂
Very impressive! But surely it’s the builders job to do all this?
Hello, please help me with the choice of blowers for sweeping the linen) what power do you use them?
Hi mate, looking to put an m57 into my 1985 county, what did you do for engine mounts ? Thanks !
We made some that bolt to the chassis so to not hack at the galv - you could try wiseman engineering on Facebook, max is/has made some for the conversion 😊
@@tomatochaz was your 110 originally a v8?
Seen this today at Oulton Park Gold Cup… 😎 Lovely looking landrover 😍👍🏼
Our first wild spot!! Thank you 😄
@@tomatochaz Unfortunately for us the bonnet wasn’t up, but looking round it we noticed little bits and thought it was far from standard 😂 It looks stunning, the fun you must have passing other cars on the road, yet it looks so standard 😎 Very cool build, will hopefully get to see it again and other local shows…
It's so quiet and smooth compared to older diesels.
Bet it tows beautifully
Watch this space 😏
Lovely, I’ve got one over here with the e36 m52 and she’s a dream to drive in the dunes and open road. Could definitely do with a 6 speed gearbox though as it revs a bit high at 120km/h.
I'm in the process of converting my M52 petrol defender to the M57 (15mpg v. 35mpg!) Where did you get the RPM gauge signal from??
It came on the house of torque engine loom! ☺️
Me and my '85 ex-military 'Do not exceed 45mph' 110 are not jealous at all. Nope, not one bit ;)
ex military though v nice!
sounds great and some uch nicer to drive than the old ld lumps good swap
we're surprised how effortless she is!
Nice videos.how do you dehumidify the air in the greenhouse?heating pipes and vents?how high is the greenhouse😊
How high-wide is the toll of the greenhouse
Mint! What gearbox does it use?
A useless video, didn't even stop to show a closer view.
Thanks for the feedback, instead of a fly around maybe I'll do a tour on foot next time :)
How much area of new greenhouse?
Hi, the new block is 3.5 acres
@@tomatochaz ok 👍 and how many tomato 🍅 plants comes in 3.5acres ?
How wide is your paths?spacing between two rows?
We have 8 meter bays - 5 paths in each bay and the pipes are 550 spacing
I also have a 200tdi which I am currently rebuilding on a new galvanised chassis and now considering an M57 conversion now that it’s in bits! By any chance did you draw up your engine mounts or did you simply offer the engine in and make them that way? Did you use a 200tdi bulkhead?
Those tomatoes look delicious on the vine. Are you able to grow any of the old varieties or are you commercially restricted that way? I always loved it whenever we got some of the rarer yellow tomatoes.
There’s quite a lengthy process the varieties go through to be ‘commercially’ grown - but in terms of choice we’re pretty much told by the supermarkets as they’re the ones selling them :)
Mad how huge the place is now after all the work.
My step count has certainly gone up 😅
@@tomatochaz 🤣🤣🤣
Great videos. Thanks for showing us around.
Thanks for watching! :)
Great to see how well you've progressed. Keep up the good work!
Could you do a video on how to get into tomato growing? How to become a commercial grower please?
Brilliant! Well done!!
Deceptively hard work. The behind-the-scenes rundown is very much appreciated. Prospective workers in a greenhouse would have a better idea of the job demands and requirements from your recordings.
Thank you! I hope it can be helpful to someone ☺️
Epic, this is sick. I'm loyal to the soil, other than microgreens I still grow organically. But this setup is on point 👍 Fresh frozen herbs, further processed bumps that return per a m2, worth a permit. you can run toms until it clears
Admiration for anyone growing organic!
@@tomatochaz organic farming is lazy cheap farming. No digging, making a lot of what you use by just waiting. Ferments, worm castings, compost. Water and a few top dresses and teas. It's the pests that are the big problem
Thank you for showing the process of preparation, fogging and planting. I recognized the screens halfway closed for fogging. Nice. If people would like to see how the fogging is done with big machine: ruclips.net/video/mLO589ZE78U/видео.html
Congratulations!
Good evening tomato 🍅 girl 😊 Not watched a video for a while 😢 but what a fantastic greenhouse you’ve got 👍🏻 Good seeing Tony too 😊 xx
I must declare: in my entire life, I have never followed tomato production more closely than I have in following your channel’s video output! Thanks a bunch to the bosses who okayed this and thank you for your lively spirit and continued zeal in making them!
Wow, thank you! The boss’ have no choice I seek forgiveness rather than ask approval 😅
makes my little greenhouse in the garden look silly now!! well done for all the hard work and its nice to see crops grown in the uk and not imported
Not at all! Everyone should have a go growing food, gives perspective on how food gets on the shelves! 😅
good job and i think you need some ev scooters to get around
Absolutely, the staff have already put in their requests 😂
Bravo.......the Dutch grow in our neighborhood........roles in one side and rolls out the other.........that leaning over is a back breaker......cheers
It can be yes! One of the many reasons for growing on troughs!
It's huge. Thanks for showing.
Thanks for watching!
Being from the Netherlands and reading much on this topic, greenhouses everywhere here, I just love how you all are just going for it. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! yes you Dutch folk sure do know a few things about greenhouses haha!
I've learned so much from your insight. Thanks again for creating these videos.
And thank you for watching! 😅
Thanks for sharing! Looks very neat and tidy, can't wait to see the tomatoes :)
Thank you, me too!
Hello, my name is Ayhan, I am from Turkey. I would like to ask a few questions if possible. Is the material of your greenhouse glass or polycarbonate? Is glass or polycarbonate more effective? Do you recommend polycarbonate? Thank you very much.
Hello, we use glass and specifically toughened glass on the new build - I have no comment on use of polycarbonate, all I would worry is if it would effect light through weathering etc
@@tomatochaz Thank you very much for your reply.
How on earth do you keep up with the removal of side shoots. I have a small greenhouse and I still dont see them all so how you keep up baffles me
If I could reply to this comment with a video; currently on shoot removal,it’s a never ending battle 😂 has to be done every week no exceptions!
How many varieties of tomatoes do you grow?
This year we’re growing 5: piccolo, xylora (orange), Roterno(large vine), Annico(cocktail) and Strabena (small plumb on vine) But can change yearly, depends on the supermarkets request ☺️
What does the engine do?
The engine runs on gas and produces heat for the greenhouses, CO2 which we pump in for the crop and electricity for the running of the farm 😊
@@tomatochaz interesting! Must be the most economical way to produce all those things? I would assume you would just use mains electricity and just burn gas for co2 & heat using a heater/burner. Coolio!
@@patrickgreenan7286 Ah yes, we also have a boiler for back up! Some growers opt for biomass boiler with AD plant, ground source heat pumps, solar panels etc There’s no set option really just depends on the farm 😊
Fantastic update on your progress. As you said, you are now on the downhill side of the journey, close to completion.
Lovely farm. Great to see expansion a great sign for both farmer and the market.
very interesting, thanks from israel !
This is very very cool!!
Eyy Tom Pemberton! thanks for watching!
Wow, how much plastic 😮
What an incredibly beautiful bird, she looks better every episode!
If they legalise cannabis, you're gonna be rich 🤣
