For real. When I saw that scene my immediate thought was "Why am I now going to get invested in your new characters Rockstar, when you have so brazenly killed off your previous characters which I was invested in, for a fucking joke?". Like my thought process of how this happened was, did the people making GTA 5 not like someone on the team of GTA 4 & wanted to kill off Johnny as a way to get back at them? Like out of pure spite? It made me not connect with the GTA 5 characters at all & thus not really care all that much about the story of GTA 5. Because why would I bother now, if this is how you treat your own characters lol.

​@@TitleTalkTCL How is it "breaking plot armor" when Johnny dies within the first 3 minutes of him being introduced in a different story line of a new game. And how is this supposed to indicate Trevor would be willing to kill Michael, when Michael & Johnny have a completely different relationship & past history in relation to Trevor? I mean your point makes no sense at all. All you have really said is "Johnny sucked" which, yes - we actually agree on this! However I will argue that it's Rockstars fault for this for what they did to his character AFTER the Lost & Damned DLC, in GTA 5 & Online, which I will explain. The culmination of the story in the Lost & Damned (L&D) DLC was for him to start a new chapter in his life after the Alderney chapter of The L&D disbands after the internal power struggle with the former leader Billy who was always set in causing chaos for his own selfish reasons leaves it in ruins. Johnny's leadership actually sees positive changes towards the business side & also its members, as he actually gave a shit about the people & their well being in the gang. This is showcased in the end of the DLC in a phone call, where Johnny states he wants to distance himself from The L&D and the criminal lifestyle & focus on sending money to Jim's widow and child with the money from diamond deal ambush. He even states that he now sees that all Ashley is good for is "f-ing up everything around her" & stops contacting her after she asks him for money which he knows she will just use for drugs. We see a shift of him standing up for what he believes is the right thing to do for himself & his true friends, finally having the opportunity to start a new life away from crime & turn his life around. This was what the ending of the DLC left for his character arc. And what does Rockstar do after all this in GTA 5? Make him a meth addict, go back to his toxic relationship with Ashley & kill him in the first scene of him being introduced in a new game. Why? So we can see how C-C-CRAZY Trevor is. Its like, you couldn't have thought of other ways to achieve that same goal Rockstar? Really? It's lazy writing is what it is. If you want to defend lazy writing, go for it my guy. But don't be all "OH SORRY YOUR FEE-FEES GOT HURT" when people are annoyed because you use existing characters from former games, which people have gotten invested into, to be killed off to make your new character in your new game seem all big & bad. All you've achieved is to make me realize that all that time & energy I put into caring, about your own characters Rockstar, was a complete & utter waste of my time. And now I'm supposed to do all that again for your new characters Rockstar in your new game? I mean fool me once shame on you, fool me twice... Like if you can't understand why people would be rightfully angry & upset by Rockstar doing this, then I'm not sure what else to tell you mate. Just accept that were not going to see eye to eye on this & move on with your life because there is nothing more to say about this then that.

@madmike0064 because someone with an ounce of intelligence can wrap their head around the fact it's the same damn world lmfao. You played as Johnny. Then saw him get wiped out with ease by someone far more dangerous than any other protagonist in the HD era. Johnny was such a shit voice actor and the entire Lost storyline was cringe as hell. Cry about it.

@@Dawwwg haven’t played 5 yet, but I think it’s a shame they killed off Johnny, he could’ve had a lot more done with him, and by extension it would’ve been nice if Luis made a cameo

@@Ostota I do feel that is becoming more and more true, I’m glad to have such a big backlog because it means I can span so many genres and generations I haven’t played, it’s interesting seeing the industry evolve, and overall become a bit more “safe” with things.
