You do have some great Thrift shops in your area, all that for 25.00! I personally like to polish my silver and copper items but I know some people like it with more patina. I'm on the lookout for a silver plated champagne bucket so if you come across one please let me know. The Reed and Barton piece is lovely. Thanks Sarah!

I learnt this over time if you see this nothing stays waterproof for its life time. I always have a can of good Scotch guard that I redo shoes gloves etc once a year. Just a thought

I "picked" exactly the same things you did Sarah, except for one: The cutting board. I have gone back to real wood because I learned that when the surface gets normally scratched with the knives micro plastics start getting into our food. Just something to keep in mind. I didn't think the cardigan was very attractive either. Hope you and your family have lots of fun in the snow! Can't wait to receive my candle snuffer!

Excellent video- love the hauls but it's also def good to get a realistic idea about what stuff sells for and how hard/easy it is to sell things. It's also great info about when you are or aren't willing to adjust your prices & what criteria you use when doing it. So helpful!

The sales updates are great!! It’s so helpful to see what the final sales price is. Btw kudos to you for selling on FB marketplace- I CANNOT handle the flakes. I have an antique booth and don’t do online sales at all so really cool to see how other vintage sellers do it!

The snoman/ snow woman salt and pepper shakers with the cork plugs that you picked up in the plastic bag are old. I found them listed on Etsy for $72 and I have these for over 35 years. The store is definitely organized and items are reasonably priced too.

absolutely love value village, one of the only thrift stores near me that still has decent pricing!! i’m wondering if it might be worth while to invest in a wet vacuum for restorations on furniture. might be able to bump the price up a little if buyers know you cleaned and sanitized the piece!

I'm always shocked by the inconsistent pricing of thrift stores. That beautiful ottoman - $16 or a vase for almost the same price LOL! What an absolute score!!

My eye went to that ottoman immediately Sarah! The quality is there and those are rather pricey when you buy new. I would keep it but since you are selling it I think I would have priced it at 150.00. One question: Have you set up your Etsy shop yet? I seem to remember you were about to open it. Thanks!

So glad you got the lovely DR!! It doesn't;t look "orange" at all to me , it's the natural tone of the wood which speaks of its vintage origin. I agree with you that the seat's fabric does not go very well with the style of the DR. I loved/loved the black floral you saw at JoAnne's! The chandelier would also look much more elegant with a bit of bronze or gold paint. It's all looking very nice Sara!
