Hold on ... one broadside, ive never seen a 1st rate go down so quick. i suppose there trying to make engagements shorter for when all the F2P meat heads arrive. ive seen leak sinking before but never like this. at the same time i have a question is this a frequent occurrence now? i wish they would just roll the game back a patch :/ they are slowly dumming it all down.

Its not a patch. They have not "patched" anything. Nothing was broken. They changed some ini file and document values and call it "content"...

That looked like a great fireship schwack at the beginning.

Nice battle! I saw you used full caliber in medium guns but do you use only medium guns instead of long/bloomfield/navy guns since the last update? Because in my Océan, I use 6 and 9 pounds long gun since the update. And what kind of upgrade do you put in a 3 slot ship and what kind of books do you put?

I’ve sank many 1st rates with one broadside over many years. It’s not patch related. A good player using big guns and charge can do it against a ship heeling over at full sail. Look at the wind. Thank you for stating you used the full heavy gun set on your ship. The mass hysteria over (the now much amended patch) goes on.

Worth mentioning: 1-broadside sinking an AI 1st-rate via leaks is not brand-new in current patch. It has been possible from the game's start...just it has varied over time with how reliably one has been able to succeed with it. Does appear, however, that it's back in "pretty consistent" mode at the moment. Whether that's a 🙂 or a 😞, well that's up to the individual player I guess, lol.

Their is no actual truth that one broadside sinks a ship, we have to remember it’s a computer game. In Reality is these ships were build to take a lot of punishment from gunfire. Plus to even sink a ship of the line would be near impossible by gunfire alone.
