Fishing By Marinas
Просмотров 512 месяца назад
Marinas are huge shelters for bait fish and proditory fish. They provide some of the best habitat for fish ecosystems on any body of water, be it freshwater or saltwater. If you want to improve your odds, find the marines and if possible find a place to fish as close as possible. I say possible because it's getting harder and harder getting access to good fishing areas. One reason for the closu...
Fishing Before The Rain, Llano River
Просмотров 722 месяца назад
We were headed back from enchanted rock (in the Fredericksburg area) and since the route took us right past my favorite waterfall in the Lionel River, I decided to see what I can catch. I only had about 30 minutes before the rains came and the river quickly became dangerous.
Sand Bassin N Black Bassin

White bass are not schooling like I was hoping they would be. That does not mean they are not being caught. I found that the white bass and black bass are definitely chasing bait along the banks.
Morning White Bass

This is the first time out after all the rain we have been getting in the DFW area. The Sand Bass or White Bass have had a chance to grow since most of the area lake have been closed to most boat traffic.
Prop Turning Backwards
Просмотров 404 месяца назад
If you replaced the belt on your pedal drive and the prop is turning the wrong way, you will have to disassemble the lower unit remove the prop shaft and take note of which direction the belt wants to turn and rotate in that direction.
Removing A Stuck Pedal

When you have to service your unit and you have a stuck pedal, try this to get it off without damaging it or having to bang on it with a hammer.
Elvie Fishing 2nd time
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.6 месяцев назад
This is her 2nd time fishing at the ranch. she is getting better at choosing her lures and locations to fish. When we got home she said her arm was sore from casting. The very next words where.....I need a better fishing pole, a fishing license, and a gun licence. WOW that was a big JUMP!!! I think fishing just got a whole lot more expensive for me. But I would love the company.
Llano River White Bass
Просмотров 856 месяцев назад
Took a little trip down to Llano River. I was not sure if the fishing was going to be any good, but I managed to catch some white bass coming up stream to eat minnows falling over the dam and down a water fall into a pool.
Great video Mr Garza
I've seen people do really well with SuperDupers, but I'm still trying to get my first fish with it.
@@calloftheoutdoors8941 the super Duper has some amazing action in the water on its own, so you don’t really need to do anything other than crank real real slow. When I’m working the super Duper, my main thought is just keeping it off the bottom, or keep it from touching the bottom.
Did you have to take trolling motor paperwork to the office as well?
@@Jetmech1085 you don’t need paperwork on the troll motor unless your installing a titled gas motor on one of the larger kayaks. Then they’re going to require a title on that motor. But on trolling motors, the good thing is that you can swap troll motors without any legal issues. FYI, I will be selling my new 10 foot green Kayak and My 12 foot blue kayak. Going to be working on a 12 foot Nucanu.
Nice! Can you please tell me how to get to this shoreline on Grapevine lake?
I had several of these discovery and they had bad barrel I gave up nice to see you enjoying yours
@@ahmondeboxley2950 sorry to hear that you had such bad experience. I had to try lots of different manufacturers, sizes and styles until I finally found a pellet that worked.
I can't tell. Are you on the north side of the seep or the south?
@@thescottishhammer7570 you know I couldn’t tell you, but I did start over by the spillway and the headquarters. I got about halfway down the seep before I stopped.
Yea the lake has been slow this year must be when ever it was flooded
I own a ranch in Coleman county, I bought it in 2020. I enjoy these videos from this part of the world.
@@Doug-rp5ik Congratulations! I’m sure you’re very proud of your property just like I am. Many people asked me where to buy property and I tell them…..find it and buy it, because it’s not getting any cheaper.
@@garzaoutdoorsproductions Good advice. I bought three different ranches, I’m sure glad I bought them when I did.
I just did one of these. Some things you missed. The orientation of the twist of the belt is important to the reverse or forward movement/thrust of the prop. If you have two units compare the rotation of the prop when pedaling. Also: Removal of the guide/tensioner bolts helps to reduce the tension and help to ease the install of the lower shaft assembly. To reinstall the tensioners I carefully inserted a Phillip head screwdriver thru each hole first and followed the tip of the screwdriver through the hole to reinstall. Made an easy repair even easier. Thanks for the video which was very helpful.
@@dodge73dart I released two additional videos, one how to remove a stuck pedal and the other one how to correct a backwards, turning propeller. I guess I mentally checked the direction every time I replace a belt. Thanks for the comment.
@@garzaoutdoorsproductions My comment about the direction was for the benefit of those who may have never done one before and didn’t realize there were two ways to orient the belt around the lower shaft drive.
Great video that was a beautiful water fall
Great video I looks like that’s a great place for perch I’m going back to grapevine tomorrow morning
Well at least you didn’t get skunked. The heat has been crazy also. 🥵 Love those grapevine rock shorelines. 👍🏻
Great video sorry I haven’t email you summer is very busy for me but you asked me what kayak I have I bought the megallan 10.6 pro peddle drive I’m trying to figure out how I can put a trolling motor like you have it
@@Cruzgarza-u1j I can probably come up with an adapter for that one. Also let your friends know that I’m going to be selling the green kayak (featured in this video) and the blue kayak (that’s in all the other videos). The blue one has sonar on it. I will be keeping the new sonar that’s on the green one, but will probably leave the adapter for the next person. Send me your information at Garzaoutdoors247@gmail.com
@@garzaoutdoorsproductions sure will I’ll let my friend know about your kayak thank you very much
They were liking both the rooster and the torpedo. Definitely 2 confidence baits! 👍🏻
The water looks so calm and peaceful.
@@CrazyQuadBrothersP3 the water was definitely calm in that spot because the wind was coming over that dam and over that rock ledge, but on the main lake, the wind was blowing about 10 miles an hour. Crossing an open lake with 10 mile an hour wind in a small kayak is not without its risks. The skiers were about half a mile away, and I was still feeling the effects of their huge waves where I was fishing.
Great video where was this ?
@@tuckerschultz6876 Usually I look on Google and see where I can find a decent place to park so I can fish those creeks. That particular one is next to a church, but I don’t remember which church. Also, the great part about that Creek is the second time I went there. The grass was low so I could handle my fly line better. I usually try to find a creek that has plenty of open area behind me for the back cast. I’ll be up there this weekend. Maybe I can find out what that church name is. Hopefully also they’re still cutting the grass. I don’t know if you noticed, but they were cutting the grass while I was fishing and that threw a lot of junk in the water that made it unfishable, so I had to cut the video short.
I dont think anywhwre takes care of their resources as they should :(
-cool-
This country treats the outdoors like a toilet.
"where we take care of our resources." Bud idk what country you live in
Ya beat me by 13 minutes! Lol
Excellent!!! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you for sharing 😊
Any wild fish in that system?
@@msb2948 I saw wild black bass in the stream while I was trout fishing. I think they were well educated because they weren’t going after the flies that I was using for rainbow trout. I heard they regularly stock, black bass channel cat, and of course rainbow trout. One thing for sure the water is extremely cold so the trout live longer into the spring.
I went Monday to the lake same lake I got skunked but I didn’t go to same area you were at cause I got a new kayak Magellan so I was trying it out so far so good on it if you don’t mind can I fish with you don’t want to be a disturb I just want a fishing partner since I fish alone all the time
@@Cruzgarza-u1j what model Magellan are you using?

Hi I’m going to the same lake tomorrow I’m on vacation and like you said the majority parks are closed I haven’t fish for 3 month can you tell me which park you went please thank you
Remember, you’re gonna be putting in a parking lot because there is no Boat Ramp right now. The boat ramp is still 10 foot underwater.
Thanks for sharing. Now I have a trolling motor on mine. May head out there soon
Use the striper rig there
@@TheREVIEWGUY1-ip1wm my son is stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita Kansas, so I had that opportunity to go there once I dropped off my wife to help with the grandkids. I don’t get a chance to go there too often because it’s out of my way. But I’ll keep that in mind next time I swing by there. Thanks for the information. Tight line.
I have a BKC pedal drive. The previous owner replaced the belt. Now when you pedal forward, kayak goes backwards. And when you pedal backwards it's propels forward. How do I fix that? What did they mix up? Thank you!
@@mg181 This error occurs when you pull the belt down to the lower unit and instead of twisted it clockwise they twisted it counterclockwise(or vice versa) and that’s what causes the petals to work in reverse. Repairing it is quite simple. 1- loosen the tension screw 2-Pull the prop off pull the three screws that hold the lower unit cover and then slowly remove the prop shaft. The easiest way to do this is to move the pedals back-and-forth (just the wiggle) as you pull the prop shaft out. 3- Have a screwdriver handy because you’ll need to insert the screwdriver to keep the belt from going up into the unit. Without moving the pedals, remove the screwdriver, and let the belt, relax. Observe which direction it turns. 4- Then very carefully twist the belt in the direction it was turning on its own. If you turn it in the wrong direction, the belt will get shorter. That’s not what you want to do so twisted in the other direction. 5- Now remove the screwdriver at the same time insert the prop shaft. Your target is the bearing in the back with the prop shaft. To achieve this move the pedals going back-and-forth. Remember, this is just a wiggle, not a complete rotation on the pedals. 6- Slowly insert the prop shaft until it reaches the bearing in the back. 7- Now replace the cover, the three screws, your prop pin/sheer pin, and propeller and you should be good to go. Good luck.
@garzaoutdoorsproductions you wouldn't want to make a video of that would you? Please! Ha...
@@mg181 i’ll take my camera to a service call Thursday and video just that process, but it may take some time before I edit it and upload it. Where are you located?

Nice looking pond. Central Texas has been getting some nice rains. Wish we could get some rain in south texas CC area.
I’ve got the exact same drive, but I can’t get the pedals off the shaft…any ideas?

Vendiciones amigo buena pesca
What were you throwing? We’ve been out almost every day and caught nothing
They are called Joe’s short strike. I got these at Cabela’s. You can also get them on Amazon. When you get them, take off the spinner and just use them as a regular fly. The reason they are called Joe’s short strike is because they have a piece of braided line with a treble hook on the end of a regular hook. Good luck keep me informed.
Thanks, I have been thinking about slugs. I'll stick to my JSBs.
Heavier JSB’s seem to be the best on the Benjamin discovery. Although it seems (from all the comments) that the Benjamin prefers the heavier, Slugs, I have not had a chance to buy heavier Slugs to try them out. If I do, I will post a video.
been their nice country and plenty of deer
This is the exact kit I've used a couple times with weapons I've 3d printed
Wow, 3-D printed. How is the accuracy? On paper I mean.
I always wondered why people put porches on their blinds. Now I know.
I built that style of stand 40 years ago. I was younger and limber back then. The door use to open easier but let yellow jackets in. This new deer stand is tight but the door is harder to open. I have been planning stairs with a landing. Just need to save some money.
This is a beautiful video❤
Glad you liked it. We actually lost the video on the pig shot. The cable disconnected from the scope, and the file was not closed. I was excited to get it out there on RUclips, that I double typed a word and didn’t catch it till I was reviewing the footage. I could’ve corrected it, but then I would lose all the views. Thanks for your comment. Good Hunting and good fishing out there.
Great video. Enjoy. Scenery looks great. Weather looks great. The ground looks great. Again enjoy safely.
My modified disco loves bigger and heavy slugs, way quieter and mich more accurate vs "regular" pellets. The slugs you are using are for choked barrels
Hello there how are you while back I watched your video on 357 bulldog with nearly 142gr good information video. Have you done any hunting with the bulldog? Take any med or large game with the bulldog? Thanks
Hello It’s ready to go. Unfortunately I have not had the chance to go hunting with it. Good news. We are getting a surge pig at the ranch. The Bulldog may see some action. I will post it if I am successful.

Thank you for your sharing, I think I discover your channel too late lol, the sand bass season seems to be out this time of the year at the marina
I hope you subscribe to the channel so you can see when I release the next video of the Sandbass in the marinas. This happens every year and sometimes they just move in an out earlier, depending on the water temperature. The Shad run also has a lot to do with the timing.
do the carp usually bust at the top? I had a couple instances where I am in a area with bait fish but cant get anything to bite and the fish that are busting on the top water kinda look like carp .
Depending on the time of year, they will bust the surface more often. Typically Buffalo and carp will bust the surface early in the morning. It could be real annoying when you think they’re surfacing Croppie or Sand Bass, and it turns out to be just carp. Maybe you should try breaking out some doughballs and at least get your line stretched. It can be kind of a relaxing way of fishing.
Does anyone have a 22 magnum conversion?
I asked myself that same question. So I did the research and found out that it would actually work better on a 223 barrel without doing the 22 barrel conversion. The problem that you run into is that the 22 magnum has a lot more power requiring a lot stiffer spring. In other words, more weight on the bolt , and to my knowledge no they do not have a conversion yet, although I have seen some 17 HMR that people were toying around with.
