its interesting how region 1 got all of most of the ex CDC westbus region 1 units integrated into the fleet like my operator back in region 3, it used to be all westbus volgrens/custom coaches.

these sound really good

their quite a decent electric model. that got a smoother ride with that nice chime. their very wonderful to ride on. busways Penrith depot has got these too.

i noticed recently that busways region 1 was trialling the express bodied electric bus. very new but is demo model. this e12 is the same model that transit systems region 2 and 6 have. it's a currently good model right now in Sydney.

My 2nd favourite one is 331

torrens transit is an Adelaide bus company & subsidiary company operated by transit systems.

i would always say that their units looks like a similarity to busways region 1 & transit systems region 2 units that uses a similar window type. although this seems like a one off endeavour in U go's fleet as punchbowl had previously not ordered many endeavours. prior to adding new models to their fleet to replace the ageing units..

we have these in my region of region 3 where some had been transferred from region 6 in the past. where they been with my region ever since. but it had been the first time these articulated volgrens had ever operated in my region before, way long back in 2013 when transit systems was my new regions operator back then that took over from westbus. these finally came in to serve on the T80 route alongside the CDi's & CB80. these were manufactured at the Dandenong volgren factory in victoria. & are Ex STA B12 articulated units.

Why do some of the buses come from operators that aren't listed, like punchbowl bus company or busabout, are they just branches or something

Why do some of the buses not say the company logo and name above the door, like those high floor busways ones and is it just me or why are the older, cheaper, worser ones being run in the less developed suburbs like penrith

these are very the same as Busways region 7's rigid units. & they were specially built for forest coachlines. but it now changed ownership over to CDC nsw. it currently feels the same riding on ex Sta' s version. they have a two seater in the front of this one.

these look similar to transit systems region 2 units that has exact same window shape as those. but not many operators had ordered these brand new Endeavour buses & currently it is only busways Sydney region 1 & busways central coast/transit systems region 2/premier illawarra/

the Volvo B12's is a very unique engine on these cb60 bodies. I noticed how Newcastle transport in Newcastle had the same ones aswell but with no on board cctv.but our one usually comes with the cctv monitor. Their one a kind custom coaches models when it was first built

The first couple of trains shown are T sets, originally called Tangaras. When they were introduced, they certainly looked dramatic with the marked slope to the front and rear of each 4 car set. A bit of use showed some real faults which flowed from the dramatic styling. The windows were made from some plastic and looked very modern. Being double-glazed, they were difficult to see through at night, reading station signs being a real challenge especially when it was raining. Working out just where you were was often impossible. They could not be opened, and the air-conditioning was not really up to a Sydney summer. The stairs were narrow, as were the treads. Fortunately all these were picked up and necessary steps taken . The set you can see at the 1.47 mark shows the replacement, and the faults of the T sets are absent.

very nice for an ex sta B7R CB80. their not been a regular sight in region 1 in the past but when busways region 1 had acquired them they became more regular there.

None made in Australia, all imported. Australia has no industrial capability to make any of these. Foton, BYD, Yutong, BCI are all made in China

this is a great that they have these in the fleet alongside with their current custom coaches element they have now.
