I'm a hyundai tech, let me tell you, those engines will do that weather or not the drain plug was left loose or not lol. We're constantly replacing engines.... buyers be ware.

We have a 2023 Hyundai Tucson and the radio loses audio every ~6 months. We found by disconnecting the yellow and green cables to the amplifier and plugging them back in solves it. Hyundai won’t replace the amplifier under warranty.

The build looks great! Did you get new interior door panels? (the leather ones with the weird pockets at the bottom) If so, where did you get them? I have the exact same MK1 but with the red interior and I'm looking for a place that might sell interior paneling. Also, did you do any rust repair, weatherproofing, or bodywork? Mine has some pretty nasty rust on the bottom and side skirts, but nowhere else, and I'm worried about the price that's going to be to get that fixed. If you have any resources where I can source some stuff other than like uro tuning heritage parts and BFI, please lend me your knowledge! My main concerns right now are the seats and interior paneling, which, granted, are almost spotless compared to what yours were originally; the seats have some small tears; and I want to get new OEM fabric, which I haven't been able to find. I'll quit yammering. I love how the build is turning out, If you have any resources for interior work stuff you wouldn't mind sharing, please send those my way

Mine literally started leaking tonight and dumped 3 quarts of oil out through the plug like the actual connector I just installed it like 4 days ago I'm barely made it home tonight it keep dumping oil the entire time how to keep stopping at random gas stations to get oil just to make it home

This car has a plastic radiator support even if that was smashed the hood should still line up with the fenders. I agree with OP the hood is obviously damaged the original hood did not have those gaps. I’ve worked in body shops and cheap Chinese non-OEM will have bad fitment with terrible gaps.
