Thank you Kurt. I had talked to Sibyl on the phone when she was still in Sublimity but because of quarantine, was not able to see her. When we started attending SCF, Sibyl greeted us as she did everyone that came to Silver Creek. She always had a hug and that amazing, beautiful smile and instantly we connected. As you may remember, we seldom missed church or family nights, and your grandparents always made us feel like we were at home. When I got my charges, Sibyl was there for me to lean on and when Thomas got into a bit of trouble immediately following, Sibyl was who my heart directed me to call on for guidance and strength. She never criticized or judged, she simply embraced me and reassured me and always extended her live and grace to my four, especially Sam. Every Sunday she would bring him a little something special, just for him, and he adored both she and Bob as though they were his grandparents, too. We all did. I know we haven’t been to Silverton much in the last few years, but Sibyl was and will always be ever-present in my prayers as I know we were in hers. She truly and completely loved Jesus and couldn’t wait to go home to worship Him throughout eternity with her mom and the rest of your wonderful family. We were very lucky and incredibly blessed that God led us to that wonderful Creek for many reasons. I believe with my whole heart, to get to know and learn from Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Sibyl Barnes, and see from their example what it means to live a life loving and serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was one of the most important and cherished of all. We all loved her, and Bob, very much and will never forget what wonderful, wise and kind souls they were to our family and to everyone who’s lives they touched. I’m sure it would be difficult to count all of us, if not impossible, I am grateful I was one.❤️ God Bless you for sharing this, I’m sad I didn’t get to see her before she left, but I’m so happy she’s where she was always so excited to go.
