Aerogarden Root Care (Should you prune?)
Просмотров 6 тыс.3 года назад
If you are growing plants hydroponically in a device such as AeroGarden, you should not trim your roots. According to the AeroGarden website, pruning roots can increase the risk of overpruning and killing the plant. Additionally, the plant roots grow through a brown grow sponge, so it’s hard to see all of the roots to determine how to trim it. However, if you have diseased or rotting roots, get...

I’ve discovered that the best way to propagate succulents is by placing them in moist soil. Be sure to keep the soil moist as the grow. Watch this video to learn different ways to propagate plants, which means to take a cutting from one plant to grow a new one. Let me know about your succulent or propagating experiences in the comments below!

Просмотров 85 тыс.3 года назад
When you’re transplanting from an Aerogarden to a container, here are 4 things you must know: 1. Work quickly and gently so you don’t damage roots. 2. Your plants are in shock, so make sure to water your soil. remember, your plants have only ever lived in water. 3. How to Harvest Lettuce from an Aerogarden
Просмотров 52 тыс.3 года назад
There are 2 methods to harvesting lettuce from an Aerogarden: 1. The haircut method - cut about a third of a lettuce leaf from the top. Do this for each leaf. This promotes continued growth. Or 2. The whole leaf method - cut the larger leaves at the base of the lettuce plant. Be sure to leave the smaller leaves alone so the plant continues to grow.

I just planted 6 pods of Lettuce and 6 pods of cherry tomatoes in my hydroponic garden. This is the first time I'm doing this. I'm planning to transplant everything to a raised garden I've started outside. I have no idea what I'm doing but just watching videos and trying to learn. Your video was very helpful. When do you move the pot outside? Or do you just always keep it in the house?

Interesting video. Yes if we have indoor plants & especially if we "Top water" there's going to be fungus gnats!! .. however, my son was at the Amazon outlet store where items are returned but yet in working condition & he discovered a lil machine called a "KATCHY"... He pd $5 for it vs $40 brand new on Amazon. And let me tell you, that lil machine is worth every penny and some!!!!❤. I purchased one for a friend of mine & she was shocked at how many gnats it trapped over night. Then she decided to place a teeny pc of fresh raw fruit under the handle but on the center ledge, and leave it overnight while running the machine & it trapped even more because of the fruit. I now have 3 Katchys in my home due to 5 Aero gardens, and a lot of potted plants. Those gnats are disgusting!! They can get into your ears or your nose & you won't even feel it!
