Curious about supercharging your BMW M62 V8? Watch us test fit the cheapest supercharger kit on the market!
In this video, we test fitted the Jaguar AJ27S Supercharger system on an M62TUB44 V8 using a cheap adapter kit we found on eBay for about $500.
The kit can be found at either of these links:

This was the URL printed on the adapter we got, but their website seems not to work:

Can you BOIL your engine? (Rust Removal)
Просмотров 582Год назад
we boiled an engine. don't recommend. maybe do electrolysis or something edit: if you decide to do this, don't add baking soda. it cancels out the acidity. Or just don't do it. We ended up just using a wire brush to clean all of it off that we could.

    Electrolysis would of worked Why not put the element on the lid?

    You should try electrolysis

      I noted that in the description. I've seen it works better than what we did. Another comment here noted that I cancelled out all the acidity by adding baking soda, which seems to be true. I can't do electrolysis in a metal trash can though. Death machine.

      you live, you learn. I intend to put our failures out there as well so that people know this won't work. Was still a fun project to do. I got this idea from another youtube video where someone did it with a burner designed for camping underneath the can, and apparently had success with it, but they fully submersed the block. Their video wasn't very detailed, and I'm not sure if they sprayed it down or coated it with something immediately after, though. In hindsight, the electrolysis method would be better.

      @@bavarianmaybeworks basic knowledge of chemistry would have also been helpful. Baking soda CANCELS out the acid of the vinegar. All that mixing them accomplishes is the creation of carbon dioxide. phosphoric acid and phytic acid are better chemicals to use to remove rust. Don't believe all the crap you read on the internet and be sceptical. If you're not, you'll be using coke-a-cola to try and clean stuff...and wondering why it doesn't work. Perhaps try things on smaller objects?

    • @bavarianmaybeworks
      @bavarianmaybeworks Год назад

      @@xephael3485 I never claimed to be a chemist. I barely passed my high school chemistry class. Aside from that, plenty of things online say that vinegar is good for rust removal, so we tried it. Had no idea that baking soda wouldn't change anything. The baking soda didn't cost that much anyway, so I'm not worried about it.

    • @xephael3485
      @xephael3485 Год назад

      @@bavarianmaybeworks baking soda might not have cost that much but it basically canceled out all of the acidity of the vinegar... you might as well just have dipped the block in hot soapy water.

      @@xephael3485 Fair. Didn't know that. Good to know for future reference. We had just kind of assumed that the mixture was making it more aggressive or something. Hardly any research went into this at all, as you can see. It was fun though.
