Wow!! What a performance!!

What a spectacular and thrilling recital! I think the Il Lamento etude is really special. He got everything right about the piece - phrasing, timing, architecture, and an infinite number of gradations of tone and touch...a real masterclass in how to get a good sound out of the piano. I could listen to that forever and never get tired of it. The Baldwin SD-10 is magnificent!

My son was the little boy who shouted out "Daddy" from the balcony. I had a similar build to Bolet at the time, was working on the concerto and was not in the balcony seats with them. I was downstairs being mortified! (I had free ticket from MSM concert office).

Difficult to listen to this concert with other pianists after having listened to it with Jorge Bolet. What a performance!

I wish i could see this performance. Does anybody know if Mr. Bolet ever played the Brahms #1 concerto? Would love to hear that too

This is such a beautiful piece. Bolet is so masterful here. Such grand romantic playing and I love the tempo chosen. You can hear every note. Bolet and Leinsdorf are perfect together. I love this recording! Could easily be my go-to recording from now on.

Bolet had the most beautiful tone of any pianist.
